Best Response

I am totally confused. And for me that is very easy to have happen. Is it 100% necessary for a person to mark someones response a best response in EVERY SINGLE DISCUSSION? I mean do you really have to do it? Because sometimes there really are either not enough answers. Or there are way way to many answers. So I would rather no best response anyone. And now my second question::: By giving someone a best response 'does that help their earnings at all? Thanks just wondering and its easier than reading all the stuff in the stuff they call the rules. lol I'm joking I read the rules I just don't understand then. (boy I am sure glad I have Google's free spell check or you all would think I am a really bad speller.)

I think that's the first 1 I've ever seen in a star! If you don't give a best response the discussion will stay open, the best response closes the discussion in YOUR information. However people can still see it and post to it! This seems confusing but if you stay here for awhile you'll see it's to your benefit to give out a best response, beside don't you think the people who think of the opinions they type for your viewing pleasure should get some type of reward? tdemex

No, it is not a requirement, it is up to the person that started the discussion. If they award the BR, they do. If they don't, they don't
I am not certain if it helps the earnings or not, I don't think it does. it might help their ratings number (star) though

According to myLot encouragement, it is advisable to mark best response after a week to the specific post. To allow other members or friends to make reply through email notification. Other reason is different time zone among active members. Whatever, it totally depend on us because marking Best Response is not under discussion guideline violation.

I think it is not necessary to give the best reponse in every single discussions i think this is not a way to improve your earning but to improve your rating here only!!
So if in some discussions you think that there are not a best reponse and may be you want wait more before give it you can wait or you could only choose the ebst reponse when you judge it really good!!
So normally i give best responses in my discussions so when the month finished i will check all my discussions i have strated during the month and so i will give best reponses if there are some discussions who i want wait more or just have zero responses i will leave the topic open to other members as well!!

Hey cookiecrumbles! I don't like having to pick the best response
either and I really don't think that anyone really does! It is
such a difficult thing to do! As for the payments, I get so
many best responses and I really don't see any increase in
my payments! So, basically for me it is just something that
makes me feel so proud and happy that others feel that my
responses are good and that they think that they were worthy
of something! I am always honored no matter how many I get
and I feel just as happy each time that I get one! Since I
spend alot of time responding it really makes me feel like
the work that I am doing means something to others and there
is no better feeling even if mylot doesn't think that it is
that important~

No, it's not a requirement by no means. However it helps people because they get award a good response. Many times it brings closure for the discussion. I'd wait at least one to two weeks before awarding a best response though.
Many times I don't do it, but I like to award it because I know people did a good job so why not? It doesn't do anything for your reward (money), but it's still fun I think. You are right that it can be hard if there are so few answers or if there are too many answers, my friend.

It is not necessary to give best response at all. It is each person's choice, and not an obligation.
Giving best response, or receiving a best response does not increase earnings, but it seems to help with star rating, which for some people is more important than for others.
If one doesn't assign best response for discussions started, those will stay in the unresolved discussions. YOu can find that when you look at the bar with today's top, my interests, etc. It is the last one in that row.
Once a question is given best response, it disappears from that heading.
I personally use best response more or less the same way as I use the plus button. For me it is a bonus, a reward for a nicely written response, or something that made me thing, or just laugh.
It is true that often there are not that many responses, or many good responses, or sometimes there are too many.
I always try to give best response because I hate to my discussions hanging on that unresolved folder :)

I guess that would be up to you, as to marking a best response or not. If it bothers you to do so, then don't do it. Personally, i think it adds to the persons number or payment or something, i am not sure, but i do mark things, including the ratings, which i always try to give good ratings on discussions. Seldom do i mark one down, i usually just skip over that particular one.

Your welcome. You know you are right. Now sometimes, someone does come up with a better answer, but that could be months down the road. I usually go ahead and mark a best answer...sometimes..ha ha, within the first few days.

It's nice of you to take the time out of your day to answer. I guess I am always afraid someone will come up with a better answer.

Well I got many good responses at some time intervals but I don't expect too much from the other user I just give answer honestly with my capacity and Expect good reply. Ya if I start any discussion then if I like users answer and discussion is best then I select him or her for their Best Response, Don't know mylot gives some extra for best resoponce or not but this is one kind of reward for users to maintain their quality.

I think i ever start a kinda similar discussions like this before... Most of them said that they never intend to earn the best for their response but looks like they do thank full in their heart for such a appreciations... Being market as best response will effected on how many "task" will available for us as far as i know.

I don't think it makes any difference in earning, actually it doesn't make any difference.
But it makes a difference to the people who have responded on your discussion. If you give people Best Response then they will certainly look forward to respond to your other discussions. So its some sort of reward or say respect to their thoughts.

For me, I just make best response for several of my discussions. Because it is really hard to pick a best, some responses are from different angles, it is difficult to tell which is better, and if you once make best response, after that, maybe someone will give enven better response, then it is not so fair.

I don't think its really that important to mark best response, infact i never thought of doing so till now. I did it for few of my discussions, and as far as earnings is concerned, i do not feel that it may efffct it at all. As it may happen that you feel so many responses good, or none satisfactory. Making one as best, doesn't seems so realistic..
