hello myloters.. I personally think wikipedia gives the wide range of information about famous persons. though google gets us through a series of links, wiki gives us detailed info in one single page. What you people think?Google Vs Wikipedia (as for as the INFORMATION is concerned)

I had a teacher in a class tell me that Wiki was not a good source of information to reference on a paper, and then the hypocrite turned around and placed a slide about a subject using Wiki as a reference. Ha...me and the whole class laughed at her.
But, in my opinion I think it is a pretty decent site to get information or a lead to information, but I would confirm what I found on Wiki with additional information from other sources.

But nonetheless, I love Wikipedia. I browse though it as a past time. ;)

Hi harishkowshik! Hmmm....I think Wikipedia would be a good site to use to validate some information you see online, though I think it would be good if you try to triangulate the information with at least two or three other sites. It is true that Wikipedia is good in providing, detailed and thorough information all in one page, but then some of the posted information is not validated. Some pages would indicate that the information posted is not really very accurate because of such and such reasons (you'd see that sometimes on top of the article before a particular paragraph begins), but some would not indicate that. The best and most accurate, I believe, are the ones with a lot of valid references at the bottom. Just try to validate the information you from at least two or three other sources just to make sure it's accurate. ;)
