I am pretty sure that I am not the only one who reads these types of sites and ebooks. So what in your opinion do you think they lack?
I think that they offer either outdated or not very effective advice. Not everything is going to work the same for everyone.
What about you, my fellow mylotters?

Personally I don't tend to bother with E-books for the reason that you rightly point out often feature out dated information and most of the information contained within an e-book is usually available on the net with a bit of research anyway..
As for websites about making money online. Well these tend to be split into two categories for me. You have those sites which just repeat the same information as found on other sites which add nothing new and so are not exactly great. Then you have the sites which do try and give the reader something new but again the information tends to become outdated very quickly. That unfortunately is the nature of the beast when it comes to making money online, it is permanently changing and so trying to keep a website up to date is in effect a full time job, which unless you already are making a decent amount of money from your website you won't be able to do.
As you point out not everything is going to work the same for everyone and I will add to that with that something which may have worked for you a few months ago may not be working for you now. It's a case on continually trialling new things whilst maintaining the old till those old things drop off and replaced by those new things.
