Lying is one thing we really cannot avoid doing sometimes.

We all know that lying is a sin,but I'd say that sometimes we have to lie for a good cause.I mean if you lie and you know that the result would not be good then that is a sin.For example you're in a situation wherein you have two best friends who have fought and both of them kept saying stuff amongst each other..uhuh!!stuck in between ei??so if you'r in a situation like this lying is the best way to fix stuff..of course both of your best friends will ask you if neither of them is saying something about each other and of course for their sake you know you shouldn't spill a word that might worsen the situation so you lie a bit to fix things..
I admit that I do lie most of the times but for the better..you can't really avoid lying..how about you?

Of course, people lie all the time, anyone that says they don't is not to be trusted.

People who say they don't lie are liars!Of course we do have to lie sometimes but we have to be careful not to make that a habit!

Yes Azaerus, lying is not really good to do, but it is as you have said, sometimes it must be done for a good cause. :-) There have been situations in my life that have caused me to lie in order to remove myself from terrible situations, and I am not referring to "keeping friends satisfied amongst themselves" lies. No, I am referring to personal life threatening situations in which one must lie in order to gain necessary means, in hopes of removing himself/herself from abuse or violence. :-)
This is a deeply thought provoking discussion -- one that I wish I could spend a lot of time elaborating on, but I feel that the more I think about this, I will end up writing a complete novel!!! LOL. So, I will end here. :-) Thanks for this discussion. I really enjoyed it! :-)

Of course I've lied, but now I am trying my BEST not to. If I get into a situation that I need to lie, I lie that I don't know anything rather than make stories just to get out of the situation. For me, not knowing anything is better than knowing something and making a totally different story about it.
