I am a mom and I am a daughter . . . and neither role is ever easy . .so I have stored up quite a few quotes to help me along. . some make me think .. some make me laugh and others I have drilled into my daughters head that she spews them out at me at interesting times.
So as the saying goes, mothers know best!
So, I thought it might be fun to tap into some of the mommy wisdom here on the lot . . here are a few of my favorite quotes about being a mom . . psst... If you know some good sayings maybe you can share yours too!
[i]"And what do we teach our children? We teach them that two and two make four, and that Paris is the capital of Franc . .When will we also teach them what they are? . . ."
“There is no way to be a perfect mother, and a million ways to be a good one”
“Only mothers can think of the future - because they give birth to it in their children.” -
"A Mother understands what a child does not say."
"We spend the first twelve months of our children's lives teaching them to walk and talk and the next twelve telling them to sit down and shut up."
“If evolution really works, how come mothers only have two hands?”
“It's not easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it.”
“Mothers of teenagers know why animals eat their young”
"Child rearing myth #1: Labour ends when the baby is born."
"The hand that rocks the cradle usually is attached to someone who isn't getting enough sleep."
“The phrase ‘working mother’ is redundant.”
“God could not be everywhere, so he created mothers.”
"A baby is an angel whose wings decrease as his legs increase.."

Nice list. My hats off to my wife and all the mothers for all the hard work they do. We have five kids and I do not understand people who think my wife is lazy because she doesn't work outside the home. It is not possible to use that label on a homemaker for a family of seven.
