I ended up not being alone on the 4th

Hey Grandpa Bob! I'm so happy that you didn't have to spend your 4th of July alone! It's really great that you ran into some old friends to hang out with and have some fun talking about old times with! Glad it worked out so well for you! And glad you enjoyed the races too! I have a neighbor who used to travel all over with his friend who had a NASCAR! He doesn't go to the races anymore, but he used to tell me all about them and how much fun the used to have! Did they have fireworks too, I mean besides the ones coming from the racecars!

I don't recall the last time I have run into anyone like that. We did get to see our son in law this week and we haven't seen him in a long time but less than a year. They live 300 miles from us and he is home right now from working in Washington State and will be leaving this coming Friday for Illionis for work. Glad you got to catch up on past times with your friends.

I am really glad that you where not on your Own Grandpa Bob, I know it is not nice to to be on your own on special Days lol I actually just managed to get hold of my Friend of 23 years last Night, we saw each other the last time 14 years ago and last spoke 5 years and I have been trying and trying to get hold of her I was getting worried and then last Night she picked up her Phone, I was so happy, well we will be meeting up soon

We stopped in at Wal Mart before we came home this evening, as we knew we needed some things. I saw a really good friend that I had not seen in ages. We e mail occasionally but that is all. Then I ran into another friend I have not seen in ages. I guess the answer to your question is just about three hours ago.

Wish i was there. looks like they are coming to my bbq though.

Hello! I'm glad you didn't spend the fourth of July alone and actually found some old friends to chat with and talk about old times. I can relate to this story as I found my childhood friend about 4 yrs ago during a computer class. I thought it was amazing and we've kept in touch ever since! Wow. that is great to hear. I am glad you had someone you knew, that was there with you. It is good to hear that you had a good time also. I have not run into anyone for a very long time. We do not get out much anymore.

actually on facebook, an old friend contacted me out of the blue and we have had fun remissing, not in person yet but on facebook, but we will get together one of these days for sure! sounds like you had some fun!

I bet it was fun to see your friends after that long..made the night go better and I bet the kids enjoyed it too... Actually I ran into a friend of mine last night in the grocery store that I worked with and hadn't seen for over 5 years...we had a nice talk...as far as family, all mine are in Wisconsin...

Well thats good, at least you weren't alone. I don't remember when the last time was that I ran into a family friend, guess its been awhile then..lol.
