If you are a truly believers, you don't need to ask questions? Any opinions?

State of confusion - A person is in a state of confusion when her questions is not answered. It is a test of faith and a mix matter of doubt. A confused person feel empty and not satisfy. She is often exhibits a misunderstanding and often have puzzled reaction. Unanswered questions with unanswered replies is really annoying. Isn't it.

I could not really understand my religious elders and from the school professors who taught religion. They always answers me, when I ask about a difficult questions about the law on religion. They always quotes me with this saying "If you really believe, you don't need to ask a questions?" I always ended up no follow up to the my questions. It really a test of my faith. Have you ever feel the same things? Have you ever been replied with the same statement as what I often receive? Is this the way my professor escape my questions on a matter that they have no authority to answer. I always get their answers that way. Have you ever encounter any doubts? For example; I am asking why Virgin Mary called a virgin when she gives birth? and a question about the mystery of the three trinity? Even professor in theology cannot explain it to me truthfully. How about in your religion, Is their some mystery which puzzled you and you think you need an answer? Kindly give your opinions on this matter?

Very much and all the time. I have been so surprised when I have asked God questions over the years and sooner or later the answer has always come. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth. It also says that we should seek counsel. I find that I ask God to help me find the answer and sometimes I ask God to bring someone in my life that can give the answer. This is my understanding on the whole Virgin Mary question for what it is worth. The Virgin Mary was a virgin because she had not had a s*xual relationship with a man before the birth of Christ. Religion likes to tell you that you shouldn't read the scriptures for yourself because you can't understand them. I guess most religions do not believe that the Holy Spirit really is our guide. When someone asked me (who had been to theological school) if I believed in the Trinity and then what did I believe God was? I thought in my head, "Holy Spirit please give me the words to answer this question. I blurted out that "the Bible says, God is love." I then asked the person if they would be surprised if in heaven we found out that God had more than three parts, would we be surprised. We as humans spend a lot of time trying to put God ALMIGHTY in a box. I have found that it's like trying to stuff 100 clowns into a Volkswagen. It just doesn't work. Isn't God fun!

actually we ask question about everything.......... but we never ask question about who am i..........u have not told ur parents that u r human and ur name is this........and when u give name to ur child then is that God told u that its name is this or should be this......... we are living as we like........we call anything with name and even that thing dont know that its name is really this........ first thing is we have to understand that we are immortal and separate thing from body called soul...... the difference between Christ and u is not the body material.........its the quality and power of soul difference.......... one thing u can never deny that in this world not one but other major religious are also present and like ur others religious also have been established by mighty souls............. so the fact is earth is very huge and it was not possible for single mighty soul to teach and regulate and inspire whole world collectively.... so the God sent its power souls called religious fathers to different parts of world and establish new religious to teach and guide peoples from wrong doing.... as u can be present at one place at a time that is where u body.........similarly God can be present at one place at a time....he is unique like us......and we cant say that God is everywhere......... and the fact of marry is that Christ left her behind him as a mother to take care of christians followers as a mother..............if Christ is the father of religious then marry holds the position of mother of christian religion.....

At least I try to seek the answer but really disappointed with the reply of my teacher. They tell me to believe in God and do not questions his authority. Of course, I believe in one God, no matter what kind of religion or domination a person belongs. I respect every person faith and have no grudge against them. The philosophy of every religion is authored by the person inspire by God and he gives the message through the word of mouth. Their is lesser evidence of files as their is no videos or photograph to attest their validity or theory of their teaching. What is written in the bible is written by human who are capable of mistakes. I can accept it as no one is perfect. But, one things I am sure of even I am curious to dig up some mystery. I will still be a believer in one God.

I have walked with God for most of my life (55 years). I am so amazed at the answers that I have received from questions I have had over the years. In some things you learn by observation and experience in others it is by waiting and in others by just reading the Word of God or in prayer with our Maker. We each are different and that is why the Holy Spirit is so very important, He guides you according to what you can understand. Be as a little child, put your trust in Him. Be ready to have Him show you things that are different than what teachers and preachers have said and always ask God to help you to follow whatever you are listening to as it follows Christ. That is what the apostle Paul exhorted us to do. Yes, men make mistakes but God never does and that is why He can work through us as humans without error. Today was a day of awesome answers and they came while reading some scripture that I have read many times before. I spoke to a friend some of these things and it fit that person perfectly. That is how great our God is. He always has a word in due season. So, if you are puzzled by some things, ask and it shall be given you. Just be patient for the answer because it will always come and you will always have more questions because we can spend an eternity getting to know the God of Love, our Heavenly Father, our Savior, the Holy Spirit within us. Read God's Word and ask God to show you what is right and wrong. You will not be disappointed. It is His Words to you.

To question is the key to acquiring all knowledge. Those who do not want you to question, do not want you to know the truth. Those who do not know the answer to your question can answer I DON'T KNOW. If you think God does not want you to question, you are very wrong. God has all the secrets of the universe staring us in the face. It is all up to us to discover them. FIRST, WE MUST QUESTION!!!

The Bible says in Matthew 7:7 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. And in James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. So, even God encourages us to ask Him about things, so that we may learn and grow in our spiritual knowledge. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser, teach a righteous man, and he will increase his learning. (Proverbs 9:9) The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge. (Proverbs 18:15) Proverbs in the Old Testament has a wealth of information and wisdom within its pages, and was written by Solomon, whom the Bible speaks of as the wisest man that ever lived. 1 Kings 4:29 I have an email Bible study that goes out once a month - not real lengthy, and not about any religion - just the Bible, if you're interested. You can email me at studyonline@jps.net Just put the word "join" in the subject line. You can cancel any time. The discussions are about many different things. Have a great week C. C.

I am fond of questioning and the response are either yes, no, with explanation and sometimes with a smile and a nod. Elderly priest and those who study theology can reply to my question with little details and it is not always satisfactory answer. That is the reasons it is call a mystery. Nobody could answer it perfectly and all I have to do is to remain a believer in God.

The very nature of religion is to answer questions which humans have and are somewhat "unanswerable". When you have a story that was created to control the masses, after two thousand years or so there's bound to be loop-holes. I too have asked tons of questions, only to never receive a satisfactory answer. The Bible is a story echoed throughout the world by indigenous people, so there must be some truth to it, however, it has been so picked over and changed over the years that it doesn't really even make sense any more. I mean, it's just not plausible and the church has done nothing to catch up with the rest of the world. That being said, "The logical reason for the immaculate conception is to hide adultry within the royal family. What better way to hide an affair than to say you were impregnated by god himself? I am not convinced any of these people actually existed, given the amount of "immaculate conception" stories and similarities around the globe of tribes lore and the bible. I suspect it had a lot to do with what was happening in the sky.

I think the best source for a clear explanation is the bible. although it have many flaws and written by human like us who have their own mistakes. It is still the best resources. The study of theology really are all theories and cannot take it as all real. some teaching are really not valuable and no longer applicable in today society. I could not even trust the person who could explain it. unless, he see and talk with God and with supporting evidence. I think I have to live with the mystery all through my life. I make it more useful to be a good person and do good to other people. Rather than contemplating in my doubts, my days are now focus in praying and the one things I am sure of I believe their is God.

I think saying that if you believe you should not ask is just a way of controlling the more intelligent people. Don't believe in such nonsense. In the old days paganism was a widespread belief, and people believed in many gods that correspond to different elements of nature. After many years they were proven wrong by correct reasoning and science. If people didn't question these beliefs, then these fallacies wouldn't have been disproved.

I think you are truly right I also believe that they could not answer me in details and avoid to reply in order for me to stop asking. But, i will not stop asking as i am really curious of the mystery. I may appear like a philosopher who like to ponder and question the authority. My dissatisfaction is really manifested on the way I view things and would like to gather more ideas to clarify some matters that keep me confuse every time a lecture insist that I should believe truly, without questioning.

The conclusion, even those who study religion could only answer in few details with a brief explanation. They are not present those times when those events happen and I can assure myself to listen only to it. I could absorb what is a good teaching but deeply in my mind i got questions which are unanswerable up to these times. Well, for now I 'll just be content with the teaching and live, act as a responsible person. with deepest respect, awareness and appreciate all kinds of religion that believe in God, in goodness and do not teach violence.

I don't agree with your professor, and quite frankly, I don't think he's doing his job very well. I am a non-denominational Christian whom was raised Catholic. They always seemed to answer our questions in Catholic school to the best of their abilities (teachers and priests, etc.), and if they didn't know the answer, they'd at least tell us that. I think it's only healthy to ask questions ABOUT your faith--maybe not specifically question your faith or it isn't a strong faith at all, it would seem to me--because it keeps you involved and asking the Lord to guide you to the answers, like the previous poster said. Just because you have faith doesn't mean you are close-minded and only follow what you are told. If you want an answer to why something is, especially in your faith, I would whole-heartedly encourage you to seek the answer. Understanding brings even more faith, because you have solid ground in what you believe.

Some teacher manage to answer me but I am not satisfy. While others told me to stop asking and instead advice me to read the bible. Somehow, I may be able to see the answer to my questions. I may feel like a dumb the moment they refuse me to reply with my question. I am really eager to know the mystery.I may becomes old someday and my question will still be left unanswered. That's why is is called a mystery. I never question my faith as i truly believe in God. What puzzled me with is the way mysteries becomes acceptable when their is no enough explanation.
