On ebay, you have to see the seller's % positive and how many deals they have done. Then see their feedback to know if they have been selling that same range of items before and if buyers are able to receive them. Lastly, use paypal to pay for the item because there is a 45 days buyer's protection and you get full refund for items not received or when item is not as described. Check out paypal's buyer protection.

I've bought something from ebay, and received it. Takes about 2 weeks ( international ). Then, I could not see everything as described ( cd rom ) perhaps because I'm not really good at using the computer. I contacted the seller who replied fast and resolved by refunding my payment full. The only thing is I have to pay for shipping the item back. The original payment of item and shipping, I have a full refund.

In addition to the seller's rating, you can also checkout the comments other buyers made about the seller. I usually checkout the negative comments made on the product similar to what I am planning to buy.
Also, if you are scared that the item may not arrive, pay extra to have them sent as a registered post. Especially if it's something expensive, it's worth paying. If the seller don't offer registered post services, message them and ask anyway.

I've been buying all kinds off stuff from Ebay, since ages.
It is the the most trustworthy Auction Site you can find.
Just check the Sellers Feedback, and make sure you read the Discription very well, and happy bidding!

Hi busky5,
Ebay is among the best best places to buy online, if not the best. Ebay have a proven track record and people make a lot of money there.
The only problem is the seller (or buyer). If you have a problem with the product that you buy at Ebay, you can complain with Ebay admin. They surely take action because they want to protect their reputation.
I never buy something from online because I never apply for a credit card. But, in near future, I am thinking about to become their affiliate.
Good luck to your online shopping and have a nice day.

For the most part if it is a seller in the US you can trust them. Anywhere else NO. I never ever buy anything from China or China mainland countries. I buy from Australia and New Zealand and the US and some Canada. Not all. Hope that helps:) Good Luck:)

Ebay is a secure site to shop. If you too worry on what you have buy do not reach you, you may want to pay by pay pal. Pay pal always protects to buyer and if you not receive your item, you may contact pay pal to make a dispute about item not receive. I buy things at Ebay before. I am happy to shop at Ebay. Oh yes, you may see the seller's feedback before you buy.

Busky5, I understand your fear there are many people scamming out there but with Ebay and paying with Paypal you are dealing with the same company so someone registered with ebay and paypal would be pretty much known especially with verified paypal.
Just don't buy from someone with negative feedback or if they have 1 than check what they received it for. I usually never buy from anyone that doesn't have 20 or more positive feedbacks and no negative or at least none that are negative in a way that product was damaged, missing etc.
I've bought 5 items on Ebay and always received them only ones there was a problem with the glass on a digital camera being in bad condition without the owner stating it. I would suggest you try and get good quality picture of what you are buying and of the entire object if it's second hand in case someone tries to sell you something not in the condition stated in auction description.

Hey,
Yea I think that eBay is the most trusted online store that you can actually think of. The only time when eBay cannot be trusted is when a seller doesn't have a good reputation in the past, that is a bad sign, don't do business with him. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I have bought a lot of stuff off ebay and a wide variety of things including cell phones, laptops, jerseys, jeans, shoes, snowboards, etc. I personally had a lot of experiences, including bad ones. The key thing to watch is the feedback the seller has recieved, also if the seller is a powerseller or not. Also, make sure if you are buying from a seller that has low feedback or is a new seller, be careful and if you can, screw them...Thaz it I got to say for today...peace
Have a nice time!
