Yugasini, as they say practice makes perfect. I would suggest that you read more literature that is written in English. And there are English grammar tests available online and they are for free. These are simple tests, like for subject verb agreement and those kind of stuff. Also, keep on writing because as you go along, you will be able to write good English. =)

Hello Yugasini. Do you have microsoft word on your computer? Sometimes, as you type, it corrects spelling as you go and also points out mistakes in grammar. There are some good grammar guides online, as well. Or even courses for brushing up on language skills. I wish you good luck. Karen

I think that the best way is to either take a class or get a private tutor. Perhaps you can find someone to be a tutor, and you can do an exchange of services if you can't afford to pay the person. However, I do think it would be helpful to have a native speaker help guide you. Obviously you do know English, it's more a question of grammar and putting things together in a way that flows in natural language form. By interacting with a real human, I think you will progress much faster than if you engage with textbooks or "do it yourself" learning. With another person, you can ask questions and get ready answers. You can try out sentences and eventually work on more complete articles. Good luck, I think you are already off to a good start. Your writing just needs some polishing.

Hey yugasini, I have jusI retired. For the past eleven years I have been teaching English to people just like you. Other suggestions here are good, but I would't rely on the spelling and grammer check that comes with Microsoft Word, there are far too many mistakes, and some are totally wrong. I know, as I taught American English in Thailand. My suggestion to you is to find some, or at least one native English speaker, not a local who speake English, with a good knowledge of the language. Exchange emails with them, and ask them to correct your mistakes. I used this method with my students, and it worked well. You could then write short articles, and have them editored. Reading as many English magazines and newspapers is also very good. You want to learn, and that makes you a good student., Good luck

All the other suggestions that have been made are great. I wanted to add that you could also consider having an English speaking friend go over your work for you and mark corrections in a different color within a Word document. I've done this often for a couple friends who are from other countries where English is not their first language. In this way, it is corrected but they can go over it and learn where their mistakes have been made and with repetition and practice, they become quite well written. They both make their living writing articles on the internet.
