Redundant Topics

I noticed that there are some Pinoy mylotters who have this "habit" of posting topics that have been discussed already in the past e.g., Jollibee vs. McDo, Kapamilya vs. Kapuso, Favorite Pinoy Food, Tourist Destination, etc. Worse still, there are some who "repeat" posting a topic that he/she himself/herself posted sometime ago (yet still getting responses as if it is brand "new"). Instead of cluttering mylot with old or rehashed topics, let's come up with new ones. Let us not abuse the system just to earn those cents. More importantly, please do a "search" first before posting a topic to avoid redundancy.

I understand that there are redundancies or duplication of topics. However, for some, we cannot blame them for they are still new here and don't know how to search for the topics discussed before. I do understand them because it happened to me also when I was still new here and had no idea how to search being computer illiterate.

Thanks for your response (incidentally, Doris Day is one of my fave singers; I like old songs).
Doing a search is the most basic "skill" when you access the internet. Joining mylot is an indication that the person already has such skill. Also, before signing in to mylot, we were supposed to read the "terms", right? So, pardon me, but I don't think computer illiteracy is the issue here. Some posters simply just don't do a search before starting a topic. Likewise, there are those who only like to generate responses (and cents) by posting (rehashed) topics that have been popularly responded to in the past.
