Do you ever feel that God hates you?

I feel like God either abandoned me or hates me. Ever feel that way?

It says that God will never give you more than you can handle. I can't see how that is true when people with depression can off themselves from the power of their grief. I don't know. I have never seen a miracle and have been losing my faith lately quite a bit.

I think some people are punished without doing anything wrong whatsoever.

I am so sorry you feel this way. I have felt very sad and lonely at times, but I'm not sure if I felt God hated me.
It is often hard to understand why things happen the way they do, particularly after reading what happened to your wife. I believe that God allows us the gift of life and freedom and that sometimes means that we experience things that do not feel so good. I believe that we choose these experiences on the spiritual level (not necessarily consciously or physical level) so that we can have an understanding of all that is and truly appreciate the LOVE of God. We do not have the eyes of God. Few of us understand everything that happens.
I will say that I do not believe that God abandoned you or hates you, but I understand that you can feel this way. I send you peace and love, because I know what it is like to feel depressed. I hope things get better for you.

My wife never did anything to anyone but was beaten by her mom until she married a guy who beat her for eleven years. She was a good person. Are you saying she deserved to be beaten?

No, I never feel that way. I don't beleive in God though. I also don't think there is much truth in the saying, what goes around comes around. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. It's just the luck of the draw and what kind of situations we put ourselves into or let ourselves get put in.
