We know that the state of the economy is rocky. But please cheer up. So many of are looking up to you. We have to do something about this world of ours. We can't proceed if you are sad.

I live in US now, after living in 5 other countries i have to say, people in here have more money, but it doesn't make them happy.
there is too much radiation toxicity and the food is terrible. fruits have no taste, and are grown with artificial and possibly harmful chemicals. I live in New York which doesn't make it any better, but i'm getting ready to more to West New York where i just bought land. It's a place with lakes and woods and i love it. we are going to build a small house there and next summer we'll move there. we'll try to grow almost all of the food ourselves and finally have food with great taste.

well... have you ever tried fruits that people eat in the middle east? the best watermelons i've tried were in Kazakhstan, best peaches and grapes, Uzbekistan, best apricots Kirgistan, strawberries... well all of the above plus Ukraine and Russia... radiation can not be seen, but every cell phone tower, microwave, cell phone, cable box and many other things produce radiation. I'm yet to see a clean lake on Long Island, some of then look more or less clean, but then when you look closer you can see oil puddles where water is stagnant. there are plastic bottles on the bottom of lakes and in every park.

I wouldn't live in The Middle East if you paid me.....and I'm pretty sure watermelons, strawberries, and apricots taste pretty much the same no matter where you go.
you sound a little paranoid about this radiation floating around, you're probably exposed to more radiation watching TV than you are from cell phone towers.
I haven't seen any scientific reports that raises any alarms that there's any more problems with radiation here in The U.S than there is in Kazakhstan, or Kirgistan.
I would be more concerned living in Ukraine......I mean they had that whole Chernobyl thing going on.
as for the lakes in Long Island......that's easy........THEY'RE IN LONG ISLAND!!!
that's one big problem that we have here in The U.S., too many people don't care about littering and polluting but I think it's better now than it used to be.

I'm pretty happy. I think you are getting some pretty exagerated reports there. Sure, we have our problems, but most of us here still consider this to be the greatets nation on earth. I perosnaly would still not live anywhere else. I'm glad you look up to us, but I think the world depends on us a bit too much. We have to take care of our own fist and we don't seem to do that quite enough. I'm all for helping out people, but we have plenty of people here on our own soil who need help first..

I'm not one of those unhappy Americans. I'm happy with my life. I have a great family, a job and good health care which will help me get back to good health.
Now I wonder why so many Americans are unhappy. Maybe they are spoilt rotten and always want more than they have instead of being content with what they have. They should be happy to have life and stop worrying about things.

dont believe everything or anything you hear on tv. it is just an entertainment medium, and that is it. it is like the radio, video games, or reading a book.

I am an American and I can't wait to get out! Moving to Asia by November. I am sick of this toxic society. Everyone is always negative and hateful. No unity. People here always look down on your flaws and never give you credit for anything you have done. Recession has hit people hard. Dating sucks, no one can get a date to save their lives. Jobs are scarce. Politicians are still shady as hell. I can go on and on. This is my personal opinion. I believe this type of society is not healthy for me. Many people agree with me. I am smart and living before it gets worse.

Be happy and you will be successful. Don't focus on the problems on your economy. Focus to your life. Do something that can make you happy everyday. America is not the only country who has this kind of problem. So everybody must help each other. Be happy.

I'm American and I'm plenty happy.
I don't have much money and maybe that's my secret.....I don't worry about all the crap people with money worry about.
anyways, I love this country I live in and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else.
I don't really know anybody that is sad, so I'm sure whatever you heard on the TV was referring to the higher ups with their suits and ties, and cheating wives/husbands and bleeding ulcers.
down here in blue jean and t-shirt America, we're all very happy.
BTW, don't say you can't proceed if we are sad......you should be able to proceed all on your own.
that's one of the problems with the world......too many people relying on other people when they should find their own strength and take care of their own problems.
we already have our nose in too many other country's businesses.

I am sorry sconibear, if I didn't make myself clear. I only meant that if we would like to do something about global warming or the current state of world economy, it is better if we all are in it together. I had always looked at Americans as friends. I am not necessarily relying on Americans for our problems. Friends help each other out. I just want America to be happy again. I think the survey was conducted worldwide.
