I need help with a couple Underworld questions!!

I finally figured out (because im not the brightest girl.. lol) that Amelia was the third Vampire leader. I guess when Markus was resurrected, they were going to combine the covens. I guess Viktor put Kraven in charge of one for Viktor. So to my questions. Why is there more than one coven in the first place? And second question is: why did Viktor put Kraven in charge of anything if Amelia was still alive? I think they need to make an Underworld movie that truly explains Amelia's role- they kinda skipped her a bit. They need to make a FEW movies i think. One of when Markus & William were each bit and how they got started with their stuff. And one explaining Amelia's backstory- there's NOTHING on her. After they do those, THEN they should keep going on to the story on hunting down Selene- which by the way- WHO WILL? Anyways, the middle questions are my main questions :] Please help me out!! And happy mylotting
