I'm a huge surrealist fan (and student) too! Dali's great, expecially with the surrealist objects, but I also like Marx Ernst a lot. Not on his dada period, on his surrealist period.

Max Ernst is awesome too! Dali's work is almost like an ironic and sarcastic commentary on certain aspects of life, whereas Ernst's work is ethereal, and sometimes you just can't and don't really want to see past that first view of his work......

My favorite artist is definitely Claude Monet! I absolutely love impressionistic art in general. I was lucky enough to go visit Claude Monet's house in France. I got to walk along side the lily ponds and gardens (or jardins..in french) in his backyard that were ultimately the inspirations for his paintings. It was honestly an amazing experience for an art lover like me. :)

That's interesting! Jardin is also the word for garden in spanish! Claude Monet's work is amazing, but his life story and his family dynamic are absolutely fascinating........

Salvador Dali is also one of my favourite artists, and I love surrealism. Some years ago I visited the Salvodor Dali museum in Paris, that was very interesting. Some of his paintings are really great, and I enjoy looking at his art. I also like René Magritte very much, and my favourite painting is called "The therapist". Recently I have discovered a couple of other artists that I really like. Jacek Yerka is more of them, I just love his paintings, and I think he is a fantastic artist. I also like Mark Ryden and Rob Gonsalves very much

I also love Dali. Truly a magnificent artist.
There is a local artist from my city that recently passed away, Jose Narezo, for whom I have a lot of respect. Not only was he an amazing artist, but he really involved himself in this needing community. This is his website: http://www.josenarezo.com/ I love the quotes from Jose that have been added.
I like a great many other artists from various schools and mediums: Rouault, Rousseau, Rodin, Bernini, Gaudi, Tomoko Hayakawa, John William Waterhouse, Hokusai, Boucher, Botticelli, Bouguereau, Bartolini, Sophie Anderson, Rubens, Van Gogh, Frank Lloyd Wright, I.M. Pei, etc.
