I need to go to the laundromat because our washer is broken. The landlord said he would reimburse me but--I was just wondering how much it usually costs to do a load of laundry and a , and also how much it costs to do a load of laundry in the dryer at the laundromat? How were your experiences at the laundromat? How much did it cost?

Well, our dryer went out a couple of months ago and right now we do not have the $$ to fix it, and since we also have our Condo for sale, we decided to let the New owners deal with this issue as well. So I am not sure how much it would cost to Wash clothes and I have heard it varies where you do your clothes for sure, but to use the Dryer it costs us around .50 to .75 a load usually which I actually consider not bad.

Yeah, my boyfriend and I were thinking that we were going to go to his parents, that way we don't have to pay--plus its an excuse to spend some time with them.

It's been a long time since I have been to the laundry mat, the last time I went it was a $1.50 a load and .25 cents for just a few min. in the dryer. I've never liked the laundry mat, its just a lot of trouble to load and unload your clothes. Then when you get there you sometimes have to wait on a machine.

Yeah. I haven't gone yet & I only have laundry baskets, not bags. So i think it might be kind of hard to carry.

I have not been to the laundry mat for many years as we have our own washer and dryer at home. I remember I did not like going at all. It is so time consuming. i hope you get your washer fixed real soon. I think it is probably about a dollar per load by now but not sure.

Hi. carlas. I believe that the first answer that you have received is an answer that I would have stated too. But, let me give you my answer in my own words. It is $1.25 to wash clothing in the regular washing machine. It costs $0.25 to dry the clothes. So, it is best that you add as many quarters for how long/duration that you want to dry your clothing in the dryer. The bigger washing machines cost up to $4.50 and up.

I went to a laundry mat for years! Over the years a load of wash has gone up. Usually 25 cents a year. I would spend like at least $35.00 a month at the laundrymat! Sometimes more if I had more laundry to do. Now for awhile I have to do my wash at a laundrymat. My washer is not working at this time and it extremely frustrating!

My husband and I have laundry facilities at the club house of our apartment complex. There we pay $1.50 to wash and $1.50 to dry each load. We checked out a laundromat once and it was actually more expensive. It was $2.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry. It's expensive to wash and dry laundry, unfortunately. Although I guess I don't really know how it compares to having your own washer and dryer. Hope it's not too expensive for you and that your landlord really does reimburse you! And hopefully it's fixed ASAP!

My landlord is having us deduct the cost of the laundry from the rent, so it will be fine! :) Thanks for caring!

You could get it washed & folded at the dry cleaners.. And it would be $6 for the first 4 pounds and $1.50 per pound after that. haha. Might get kind of expensive though..But it's all folded FOR you!

The wash cycle on a standard washer at the Laundromat in my town is $1.25. For the dryers it's $0.25 for 5-7 minute of drying. So you just add as many quarters as you need to dry. I use to wash the towels for the buisness that i worked at, so it wasn't a home type expierience.
