In your tradition try gazing at the Bagua with one white or light blue candle burning nearby. Close your eyes and think of her and call out her birth name. Remain very still & listen for any type of response. Remember what was said and/or what you heard and record it in a diary or notebook. I am a Chinese too, and I heard of it many times. But for me, I never dreamt of any one from my deceased family member. Maybe I didn't miss them that much. But on every April season, my whole family go by their gravestone, and pay our respect to them. That might help a little.

My grandfather... He's really the only person close to me that I've lost... And we were distanced before his timing cause he moved outta state. It just makes me feel weird cause I'm getting older and really starting to understand how to find out who people are... and it makes me feel like I didn't know my grandfather. But I like seeing him in my dreams. They've all been pleasant so far.
