can't decide ps3 or xbox 360

ps3 = great gameplay xbox = great variety of games you decide. ps3 = free internet xbox = paid for membership

Ps3 has free online and I really think Resistance 2 was way funner than Halo 3 especially online with co op and deathmatch. But also its the multimedia system. You got BluRay and you can store movies of multiple player types except wma which are weak sauce anyways but also it plays a lot of burned movies and even movies on a disc but not in dvd format. xbox on the other hand has its bonuses like multiplayer but it costs dinero for the membership. I choose the ps3 cause that's what i'm saving up for and Metal Gear Solid 4 is flipping amazing. I currently have a Wii and been playing old school nintendo games.

This is a tough one. I would initially say the Xbox as it has more games, is cheaper, and more people play it online than the PS3. But I find that there are several things wrong with the Xbox, at least from my personal experiences. 1. You have to pay for xbox live, whereas for the playstation online play is free and comes with it. 2. Playstation is much more reliable. There have been dozens of times where I will be playing on xbox-live with my friends and I will randomly get kicked out of live because it says I have no internet connection. The hell I don't, my laptop will be working right next to me. Then I just turn it off and on and it works again. This happens alot, and it is my big complain with the live system. It just is not very good and very inconsistent. I have never had this or any related problems with the PS3. The whole Live system in general seems to be very flaky and inconsistent to me. 3. Xbox also sometimes won't turn on. One of my friends has this problem, and literally his solution is to slam the Xbox on his table and then it works. And no, thats not how it got messed up in the first place ha. 4. Xbox has the red rings. I know you can get it fixed now but still, it takes like a month to get your fixed Xbox back. Thats a long time for a gamer ha. Really the only reason I play the Xbox 360 over the Playstation is because all my friends play it and it has better shooter games to play online (halo, gears of war). If it weren't for that, I would have the PS3 hands down. There are just too many minor problems with the Xbox that add up.

Xbox 360 would be the best choice. Most of the game companies go to the 360 because it sells more. It's cheaper, which might be important compared to your finances. Most movies come out on dvd and bluray. The only pluses a ps3 has is graphics, browser, and bluray. Online for both is the same, the ps3 has enough people for an enjoyable multiplayer experience, but if you want to play older games online, go with the xbox 360. It has more people online.

Go PS3 I love mine and just like you were saying bluray is nice. The other good thing is they are dropping the price so go for it.
