I've been building a website for exactly a year and 3 months. Finally getting it set up nicely and updating it when it needs it, I receive an email stating that my website will be shut down if I can't get over 20 visitors in the next 6 months. Not only will my domain be taken away, but the entire website THAT I WORKED MY BUTT OFF TO ACHIEVE will be erased from the internet and all of my hard work will have been for nothing.
My website is www.pokayola.tk and it contains neat recipes, cute graphics, myspace and HTML help, games, chat and music and a lot of really nice stuff. There is a special R.I.P section JUST for Michael Jackson in the Celebrity Gossip page, so please take a look and spread my link to your friends and family. Please do this, I don't want my hard work gone to waste because people don't at LEAST look. I mean hey, there's a cute hamster on the page, who WOULDN'T wanna see that??
www.pokayola.tk PLEASSSE take a look, you'll like it!!
Thanks!

That's a great site!
I'd get all of your stuff off of the website and transfer it to a new place. There are other places where you can get free web space and subdomains. You can get one at www.000webhost.com. Go there, sign up for a free site and upload all of your work there. You need to upload stuff once in a while to show that you are active with your site, but that's all.
I don't think it's good to stay at a site where you are required to get a minimum number of visitors.

Thank you SOOOO much :D took me forever (what it feels like). I would, really... but i dont really want that youraddresshere.reallylongname.com yano? 20 visitors in 6 months really isnt that hard to do... but its just that i worked pretty hard...and to take it off the current name and transfer it...omg that'd take up half my life... xD its the HTML coding that took me foreverz. But thank you for visiting it, it means a HECK of a lot!

(My response is shorter than it would have been because the computer signed me out.)
Cool! I sent it to a few people. I use dot.tk a lot. Did you use a website builder or coding (HTML). I myself prefer website builders, even though I have knowledge in both HTML and JavaScript and am trying to learn PHP. You sound like a person I would like. Friend me? XD
PS: Are you allowed to use the materials in your website that aren't yours? I know for a fact that the "IM A CHIKIN" picture isn't yours.
Peace! ;)

if it's free domain and free template then there is nothing else you can do to stop them from shutting it down aside from getting visitors
why don't you download it and get free domain and template at www.freewebs.com?
even if you buy they do have affordable budget, and free templates they have really nice ones already
it took you long time to build yours but then again you are not getting many visitors so if you join free webs community you have more chance someone will look
or make a blogger account (which is also free) and mention your site there

Like Adam1980 said, you got to be more careful with the rules & regulation of MyLot. On the other hand, you don't have to worry now as your MyLot friends will help you. I read some of your response who have commented on the outlook. I'm visiting the site now, don't worry!

Just visited your site so I hope it did some good. IMHO, I think you should buy your own domain so that you won't have to worry about this, but is it because of age constraints that make this hard for you?
