hi iamsolucky, my first experience flying i was terrified!! when the stewardess came to ask me if i was ok I just busted out crying. she asked me if it was my first time and i told her yes, so she brought me some tissue and assured me that i would be fine. she said it was like a short roller coaster taking off and then its smooth sailing from there. And now that i have been on the plane more than one i know what to expect and sometimes i look forward to the mini roller coaster feeling. I like to look out the window and see how everything gets smaller and smaller and the clouds on a sunny day or sunset are so beautiful so have your camera ready. oh and sometimes depending on how long the flight they may have movies oh and you can play games on the little computer screen but you have to pay for it. but you'll be fine just relax and enjoy the view.

oh i forgot to add make sure you have extra money for your bags because some airlines are charging to have bags checked in so check with your airline and also no large liquid of hair gel, water bottles, no large liquid can go into any bag that you are carrying on the plane when you get to security they will tell you to either go back and check your bag, or throw it away. and you can only carry two bags with you on the plane one could be your purse and the other a small carry one bag call the airport for more details on luggage and security or go to your airport website have fun!!!!!!!!

Hi iamsolucky, my first flight was when I was a child and I loved the little fold down tray you could put your plastic lunch tray on. I didn't mind flying then. Later I disliked it, be aware that take offs and landings are the worst and you should suck a sweet at both times to make your ears pop. It is boring, but not the first time. The plastic lunch tray is generally hideous nowadays. If you are flying with a child do not show your fear. And don't forget to pay attention to where the emergency exit doors are and if you are worried make sure you take an aisle seat.

When i took my first flight i was just 6 and heading to Paris with my family for vacation. I remember it quite well.
The weather was not that good; cloudy and partly rainy, so that grey sky raised my concerns when we were taken to the plane.
As soon as i sat down i had fastened my seatbelt. I had listened and watched the instructions told by the hostesses very carefully :)
When the plane started gaining speed for the take off i was grabbing the seat really tight and when my mom asked if everything was alright i just nodded my head and couldn't say a word :D

I was 11 or 12 years old when I first went on a plane. I was really afraid. After the flight took off and then later landed, I realized I had nothing to be afraid of. Sometimes there can be turbulence- that is when the plane ride is bumpy; some people are really afraid of it, but it's not bad at all.
When you fly, make sure you have luggage tags on your bags in case something happens to them (like they get lost or something) so you can get them back. My sister recently bought hot pink colored luggage so she can easily pick out which bags are hers in the baggage claim area. Sometimes a lot of people have the same color bags so your bags end up blending in with other bags and so you have to check each and every bag to see if it is yours. But if you have a weird colored bag, you can just stand bag and wait for your bag to go around the baggage claim to pick up.

My first flight, which is to China, was a very memorable, fun but frighthening experience. LOL! You need to know what are the things that are only allowed to bring on the airport and the maximum weight of your baggage. Cellphones are not allowed inside the airplane. Good luck!
