why work ABROAD?

Hi janebeth, Yes the goverment is too busy lining their own pockets to care about their own people and their country, that is why your people country men are trying to find a decent living to suport their familes, it is very sad but the goverment should be changed, they are too greedy., It is just as bad in the UK. Working overseas is important for getting a higher salary at home and getting career opportunities that wouldn't exist at home in the Philippines. Many families in the Philippines are poor and they send money home to their relatives from abroad. I live in Europe. After my university education my Irish friend went to teach in the Middle East. She got a very high tax free salary. She came home with fantastic memories and enough money to clear her student loan. I enjoyed doing a working holiday in Australia to make my money last one year.

Hi there my hubby was currently working abroad. He was in France right now, yes i can say that main reason why he works there is because of money. Its hard for him to be away for me and his daughter but he has to make sacrifice for us to have a better living and nice future. I can say that government has something to do with this problem. If they just do something about the problem of the country no people here will go to other country and make some sacrifices, i hope this problem will be address

yes, definitely for money. Other reasons include skills improvement, better work, and for somebody its their wish to go abroad(just experience their lifestyle). Government has more advantages if its citizens work outside. It will get more money from outside. Currently India is getting more money compared to any other country since so many Indians work outside. That will give their family a better life. I am also working in Japan but I am from India. Government cant give everything as it depends on so many factors. It has to address so many problems. If our country also gets developed, we can see foreigners coming to our country :-)

people go abroad becoz they get better salary, and the government doesnt care because it gets good returns from that money.....why else would anyone leave their family and live in another country? The country's economy is the main problem

yes you are right, it's in the economy of the country.. poor family for sacrificing to be away with their love ones... but i think you need to accept that fact..!!

ITS because of salary!

Dear janebeth, This one issue that commonly discussed in our local households. Big opportunities awaits us in the foreign lands. Even small jobs offer big salaries. But for me, I will stay here. I cannot afford to be away from my family for a long period of time. Maybe because I am a happy person, I don't want to be alone, away from the kids. It's great to receive big amount of money, big salary. If I can do it here, with my family, I will not go work abroad. Neil
