No, they did not change his species because we are from India. He is an ogre here too as they don't change the lines, voices, just cut out inappropriate scenes.

I thought Shrek was an ogre. Is he called an ork in the Indian version? I know sometimes movie companies translate words differently depending on what country they are in.
