Japan's Hana Yori Dango, Taiwan's Meteor Garden and Korea's Boys Over Flowers. These versions, though there were revisions from the original HYD manga, but still I found each of them great. I have watched them all and I loved each of them. The stars were just right and they fit for the roles.
The story is very popular that it had four versions. And I think China and the Philippines will have their own remake, too.
To all who have watched, which is the best for you?

I've only watched the whole episode of Meteor Garden, but I hardly remember their names in the show, lol. I actually get addicted to it and I try my best not to missed any of it. I haven't heard or seen the Hana Yori Dango and Boys Over Flowers, it maybe showed when I'm not in our country.

Hi,
I have first read the manga, after I watched the anime.
Than I've watched the Japanese drama and the Taiwanese one. I didn't watch the korean version.
I liked the japanese version best, and I think Matsumoto Jun is perfect for the role. I didn't like him at first, and as I've seen the first scenes I thought "Who is that ugly guy playing Domyoji?" But soon I got used to him and I found out his great acting skills. I didn't quite like the Daomingsi in the Taiwan version. He is not half as funny as the original manga version, and soon his hairs goes down and he is just normal. It must be said that the Taiwan version was made first. The Japanese one had time to correct all that particulars that were bad in the first version.
Another thing. I don't like that Meteor Garden2 has almost nothing to do with the original story.

I think that was the "not so good" part of Meteor Garden. It was too long, some people found it boring and too much of pain and suffering for San Chai. But, it was a happy ending.
The anime and the Korean versions were almost alike and they're lighter than Meteor Garden and the HYD movie. I enjoyed watching.

I love the Korean version. I think because it's the latest and more funny and better because you could really see that it was a big production. Plus, not to mention that the boys are a lot cuter.

i have watched meteor garden long time ago when i was in my high school. my sis and i fall in love with the first season but not the second. we just hated ye sha at that time. Then few months ago, my friend introduced me with the japanese series hana yori dango! which i didnt like at first as the hero is some sort like funny with his curly hair. As i watched it, i went for the manga! it really followed the manga unlike meteor garden. i would say i like the japanese version even more! i just love it! yesterday i bought the korean version. i watched the whole 5 dvds in a day! a marathon indeed. but, the story is just too dragging at the latter part. plus, gu junpyo didnt fight for geum jandi!!!! he was like a loser! ugh! i hate it. at first he was so strong and made promises to jandi. i dont know. i just find geum junpyo asn the weakest among the three. whatever it is, i just love the manga! awesome! go and grab it ok. =D =D

I also didn't like the second part of Meteor Garden at all!!! It had almost nothing in common with the story in the manga. The anime, also, ends in a different way, I think they made up an ending only to finish it...
At first, when I started the Jap version of the drama, I also thought Doumioji was too tiny, too strange, not good looking at all. I wandered who was that ...monkey. Yes, I think I had this kind of thought. I don't really know at what point of the story I changed my mind, but now I think Matsumoto Jun acting skills are great and he is kinda cute. I'm his fan now.
I also whatched the drama "Kimi wa petto", and he is really good there, also.
Happy mylotting there!
