I will go with Sony, their laptops are very durable and trendy. However, they priced higher than other brands of laptop. You can also choose HP or Acer.

this is one of those things that is going to have to be a personal choice as everyones needs from a lap top are different so a low priced lap top will suit some people and others who want it to do more high tech things will need a more exensive one, go to a pc shop where they have them on display and try a few different ones to see what you like the best

Hi, friend. First of all, welcome to the amazing mylot community. I have been in touch with the laptops from HP, Dell, Sony, HCL, Lenovo and Mac. I myself use HP. What I got an impression is that HP, Sony, and dell are the companies of high reliability with no problems inside warranty time ratio as high as 99.9999 % for HP and Sony. So, I advise you to choose one of thethree companies. Your exact choice depends upon your choice of configurations and look. Dell laptops are power efficient, HP laptops are high in performance with style while Sony gives you highest relaibility. Mac is also reliable but with reliability rate not as high as these three companies. But, with a MacBook, you can run both windows and Mac OS X. Now, the coice is yours. Happy Mylotting!!!

As far as the make I'd go with HP myself, but any of the major companies will have good after sale support should any problems arise. Most importantly you need one that will meet all your requirements as it is a lot harder to upgrade a laptops spec later.
