I used to have at least 20 minutes bath time, which include my shampoo, body scrub, brushing teeth, wash my face and etc.. now, with a newborn to care for, my bath time is limit to 5 minutes, and I can hear my little girl screaming from the bed! What about yours?

Being a new mom will do that to you, but never fear soon the baby will sleep for longer period of time and you will have time to take your 20 minutes bath yet again.

On weekdays it takes me 20 minutes to bathe, that includes my hair and all that is in the morning before i go to work. But in the late afternoon after i have gone home and rested after work i usually take a little longer with my bath time especially in the weekends. It relaxes me to stay in the bathroom longer and have a nice warm bath.

I know, being a stay home mom is really very difficult. Taking care of a baby is really very hard and often takes most of our time. Then there is the household chores that we mothers must take care too. I have experienced that because i used to be a stay home mom too but i always see to it that i do have that warm nice bath at the end of the day. I see it as my reward to myself for all the hard work i have done during the day. So, when i have put my little one to sleep , i sneak into the bathroom and have a nice warm bath as long as the baby doesn't wake up.

Like you, earlier I would spend atleast 20 minutes (if not longer) in the shower...but after I had my first child, my bath time reduced dramatically to 5 mins...even though my child was an angel and never created a fuss, I couldn't leave him for longer than 5 minutes. And that just continued. It's rarely that I now get to spend more time in the shower.....on a weekend ...when my little one is asleep and my older one is busy with something he wants to do.

Hello cwong77, I am like you. I spent quite a long time in the bathroom, doing all the good stuff but since my baby was born almost three years ago, I spend lesser time in there. Unless if my husband is around to help me looking after my son for awhile, I will take shower as fast as I could.

I do not time myself in the bathroom. But If I have to give it a guess, I would say somewhere around 15 minutes or so.

now, i can afford longer than 20 minutes in the bathroom. i was in the same situation as you are in and the thing i did to remedy it was made sure that my husband is still in the house when i take my bath so someone is there for the baby. it may be quite early but i can catch up on sleep later on in the day (with the baby) . as time went on, with the luck of a small house, i can take a bath with only my child watching tv and hear any sound he makes besides that coming from the television .

Since I am a Single mother, I only can have a longer bath when my mum or brother are around. However, still be worrying on the baby.. hopefully when she can start to talk, I can have more time for myself. :)

My usual bath would take 20-25 minutes. However, atleast once or twice a week, I would have a body scrub and hair mask on me that'll add to my routine, and so I sometimes reach about an hour just taking a bath. For this reason, whenever I hav an appointment for a certain day, I make sure to prepare hours before it.

With kids and animals, I never can be in the bathroom for to long. I have two kids and they always want to know what I am doing. With a baby on the way, I plan to get the baby in a routine and that usually helps.

Even the baby in routine, it's still hard as we may have wonders what is him / her up to. As mothers, we can no longer enjoy bath!

I love to take bath in an enough time. I need to wash my hair, though it is not long, wash my body and face as well. It takes about 20-30 minutes. Yes, being a mother is very busy. But I always get some one is there at home with my kids before I go to bath. If I am alone with my kids, I definitely not dare to leave them and go to bath.

vingyan06, I don't have the luxury to do that... when someone is at home, I have to do the cooking and stuff, hence sometimes my bathing is like at wee hours.. :(

Before my boy was here, I love my shower time where I can pampered myself with my favorite shower gel, body scrub, hair shampoo, facial foam, shave and etc. Those day I can stay in for 30 minutes and comes out fragrantly.. haha, now as a mother, do not have the priviledge anymore. The fastest the possible. I still need the good 8-10 minutes, just shampoo from top to bottom and shower thats it. Sometime not even have time to comb my hair if I'm occupied with things around the house.

I take just five mins. because if i will remain more time to take bath than it make me feel that I am using un necessary water to take bath. Its easy to take bath just in a bucket and I practiced it from two buckets of water. So I think By this I can save some water Wastage

I agree with you that bathing may be using lots of water... and I only tried a bucket water bath when there is water disruption in my area where I stay.

Mine are 5 minute showers. I have four kids ages 11,6,5,4 so I dont take baths anymore. My bath time used to be about a hour but now I am lucky if I get a shower every day. When I am really tired I will let the kids watch tv a little longer and I will stand under the shower and unwind but for me its get in and get out as soon as possible.

It takes 30-45 minutes for me for my proper and relaxing bath. I used to soak for a warm bath for 15-20 minutes. Then scrubbing, shampooing and brushing teeth and rinseng. I can have bath like this when my hubby's at home coz like you i have a baby too. My son always screaming and crying when you leave them alone specially when you having bath.
