Graphic Art. . .My Way

I enjoy taking pictures of my hand beaded jewelry and using a warp brush in my photo shop program to make designs out of them. Oddly enough, when I start warping a picture I nearly always see a face in it, so I started concentrating on faces.
This picture was made from a beaded hoop earring beaded in bronze and copper iridescent seed beads. Just a few strokes of the warp brush brought a nose into view. Another stroke in an attempt to make the front of a rounded bust produced a beard. (My hand twitched involuntarily and turned the stroke up on the end). A few more strokes for touch up and "The Face of Ancient Wisdom" appeared. I have him on my Zazzle shop in the "weird faces" category. I'm thebeaddoodler there too if you want to take a look.
Do the results of your art work ever surprise you? Do your pictures sometimes "draw themselves"?

Almost everything I do, whether it's my jewelry or my graphic art, "draws" itself. I kind of get lost in it, once it gets started. Sometimes I know where I want to go with it, but the piece ends up going where it wants to go, and I end up with something altogether different.
I really like the way yours turned out. Love those colors! Have I seen the earrings you made that from?

I don't think you've seen them. They were a doodle I started and ended up being a hoop. I haven't gotten good enough pictures of them yet to put them in my Etsy shop.

Sorry, Bo I forgot I could add pictures in the comments. Here's a picture of the earrings. I just cut the picture in half and used only one for the face.
