How to cope with the ralationship with my boss

I am a graduate student,my major is chemistry.Now I must chose the topic for my future research.I like biosensor very much,but my boss want me to do some research about transdermal drug delivry system.I had talked with her about the issue,but it did not help.How can I do?Just follow my boss's command?

Oh, I thought this was about an affair with a boss. LOL. Anyway, you should follow your heart. Your life is at the palm of your hands, you take charge of it. But, it is also wise to listen to the advise of elders. Take note, it should be advises not impositions. Just tell her that you can do a better job if you do what you like. Otherwise ask her why she wants you to do what she likes.

I konw her plan,she just want to make more money.She has lots of projects which are cooperated with companies,so she need somebody help her do the projects.
