I just saw a topic about cockroaches a few hours ago. I went on to comment about the topic. Later over dinner, I was talking to my husband when we brought up the issue of cockroaches again. He then told me to buy lots of pandan leaves tomorrow morning from the market. I was curious and asked him of the reason to buy the pandan leaves. He told me that pandan leaves help to repel cockroaches. He later mentioned that he did not encounter any cockroaches after he had placed some pandan leaves in his car. Well, I was quite surprised, but I'm happy to try this method as there are recently a few cockroaches found in my house. I do hope that the cockroaches will be gone soon after we place the pandan leaves tomorrow. So, do you have any other ways to repel/keep away cockroaches from your home? Do share your experiences here. In addition, if anyone of you had also found success in warding off the cockroaches before, after using pandan leaves, do leave your comments here too... By the way, for those who do not know about pandan leaves, it's the leaves of a tropical plant called Pandanus amaryllifolius (pandan). It's widely used for cooking in Southeast Asia as a flavoring.

I'm sorry... I accidentally press the post comments button when I was moving the mouse aside. Continuing from where I had written, my husband asked me to put a small bunch (with around 3 leaves a bunch) inside each of the closets/cabinets/drawers where the cockroaches may be hiding. When it's dried up and the smell is almost gone, we will need to change fresh ones. In addition, you may also want to look at the above link which is provided by learn2earn. These are also other ways that can be explored... Hope it helps your sister.
