I've logged on in my lunchhour and can find only 2 friends. what are you guys doing? Are you watching the MJ memorial service instead of being on Mylot? who's going to be the 'winner' out of his death? I suspect that the lawyers are going to have a wondeful time for next five years or so by getting very rich. Do you agree?

No, I haven't been watching TV. My husband is stressed over our financial situation, and today is his day off, so when we aren't fighting over his attitude, we're discussing our situation and I'm trying to convince him not to sell a $500 computer for $100. I don't think we're THAT desperate, but he thinks we are.

Wouldn't that be nice? Unrealistic, but nice!

Unless you really have to then it would be awful to sell a computer for so little money. People handle stress differently. I know that you will get through this Mandy. I wish that you could win the lottery or something. I really do.

I was actually doing both. The only loser I want out of the entire bunch is that father of his. I think he has gotten enough accolades for his hand in promoting his kids to stardom.
He just come across as a self serving pimp. I dont know, he just rubs me that way and I realy blame him for the way Michael viewed himself and the discomfort he had with who he was physically.

It would seem that the father did enormous harm to him both mentally, emotionally and physically.

This morning I caught a clip of his daughter Paris speaking. Oh man, she broke my heart. Whatever he was, he was a father. And seeing how much his children loved him, he must have been a darn good one. By the way, I just heard his third child was named Blanket. Is that true?

Hi - not watching.
I'd like to hope his children will get the most out of it. Sadly, I hear he was deeply in debt. I wonder if there will be anything left even for the lawyers!

This is what I had heard but evidently it was not true and there is loads to spare. Of course, he will probably end up like Elvis whereby he made more money by dying than he did when he was alive.

I agree with this. Memorabilia will sell like wildfire.

Probably so. I kind of hope that the grandmother gets those kids because it was in his will that he didn't want the mother to have them. I don't know, though. Normally, I think the mother should get the kids in any other relationship but in Michael's case, I'm not sure what to think. I'm leaning toward his mother, though.
I would have liked to have watched the memorial service but I had to be out at the therapeutic riding center where I volunteer by 10:30. It was about 12:30 or closer to 1:00 when I got home. Kathy.

It sounds like you have an interesting voluntary job. I watched bits of it whilst in bed last night and was so moved by his daughter's tribute

Thank you. Yes, I really do like working out there. I've been around horses since I was seven years old and I'm on the drill team out there. I love to ride!
I watched Paris yesterday when I first logged on to the internet. Like one mylotter said, that was so heart rending! I almost cried, myself! Those kids are so cute! Kathy.

I wasnt a fan of Micheal Jackson so no I am not watching it. Im not even sure if its being broadcast here in England! I havent noticed that people have been less active here today but maybe thats just me! There astill seems to be many people on here starting discussions and replying to them! Well maybe thats just me and maybe its because the first thing I do on here is go straight to ther discussions with no responses and there always hundreds to get through! Hmm... I will see if I can get through more tonight and then if I can that it will be less busy!

HI angelsomommy. I was from the U.K. but came to Jamaica many, many years ago. He was very populare out here and many people are glued to their televisions watching him or getting ready to watch him. Me? I'm just having lunch! I usually answer my freinds emails first before brancvhing out but, you are right, maybe I should look at other discussions while I have the opportunity and who knows? May make new friends too.

winners ? i dont think no one won and is going to win out this ugly battle , to me if i hear correctly i hear that he had debt , in the millions , now that might be , i wouldnt know if he was "broke" per say but , his estates would probaly be sold or be some type of money generator like Neverland , i heard might be turned into something like a actual amusment park or museum ? i actually thought his clothes could be sold off to a rock hall of fame type place , or even a high price auction , now that hes resting , its going to get worse for this entire year,

Ahhhh! ok ok , i see what your saying , see i didnt know , that he was back up on things when he did the attempt to get on the concerts , cause i didnt think nothing of it, the media was passing it off as , the concert tour was to repay every debt , but i didnt know he was profiting too , and yeah i already knew the kids were going to suffer most deffinately , now that Mrs.Jackson isnt the mother , i dont kno what the status of Ms. Ross being the new mom if she got the right or not ? but if it wasnt her then i think they go to Debbie Rowe ...

I heard that he was getting one million per day from he signed the contract. His lawyers are saying that as he is not here to spend there is going to be plenty of money. He has so many recording rights of people too. I also unde4rstand that Debbie Rowe did get visitation rights a few years ago granted in court so this is what they will use for her to have the children. who knows what will happen? There will be many twists and turns and the lawyewrs will get richer and richer. The lawyers will not want an easy solution as they will get paid less.

No, his lawyers are saying that he is no where near broke,. This was media hype. Oncew he signed the contract to do the concerts in the U.K he was back on the gravy train s he was paid upfront. Wait until the amount he's worth is published. to me the winners will be the lawyers and the losers in all this are the children

I was cleaning house & THEN MY FRIEND ANN CAME BY TO SEE ME, thought u would be interested in that. I was sooooo glad to see her out. She had been to the dr. & doesn't have to go back for a month so that's good. Back to your question, i imagine the lawyers will be the winners. I just feel sorry for those children.

That was a great surprise for you and I am happy that she is able to get out now. I also feel sorry for the children - it is always the children who suffer most.

You made an interesting point as I honestly had not thought about what the media houses will be raking in. They will be winners too - just like the lawyers

Hi, I never were a fan of MJ, and still I don't understand the hype. I was reading a book last night and drifted off to sleep a bit early than I usually do.

I have listened to him from he was a little boy and he did cross generation barriers. I was at work all day but watched a little last night whilst in bed. That is my little vice. I like to watch tv whilst in bed under the ceiling fan! It is just so comfortable.

Hey cyn,
No, I didn't see the memorial but all the stations ran it. The sad thing is that if there are any winners, you are right, the lawyers. I feel for the kids. They are always the innocent that pay for all the greed in this world. I'm afraid that the circus is just beginning.

I so agree with what you said: the circus is just beginning. They seem like regular kids too - not spoilt. I don't see how they will escape being dmaged by the tug of war that is going to happen as to who is in charge of them. So very sad.The lawyers will make millions and let it all drag on so that they can get richer. They do not have the children's interests at heart, thought they will pretend that they do.
