who wrote bible?

The bible was written by about 40 people over 16 centuries. Moses started it with Genesis while wandering the wilderness with his people in 1513 BCE and the Apostle John concluded it while on the island of Patmos with Revelation in 96 C.E. As far as we know, none of the Bible was actually written while Jesus was alive.

The Bible has many authors, depending on the book (remember the Bible has several books in it). Old Testament was written before Christ's era, and New Testament was otherwise. Deuterocanonicals (available in Catholic Bibles) are part of the Bible which is called Apocryphal because people were thinking if it is really divinely inspired. The Protestants (Martin Luther's Branches) thought it is not canonical, but the Catholics think otherwise. That is why it is a section in the Bible between the New and Old Testaments, but I believe it was written also before Christ's era (Because I saw a story there about Alexander the Great, which existed before Christ)

Hello, The Old Testament was written by prophets, prior to the Birth of Jesus, it actually predicts his birth. The New Testament in part is an account of his life and ministry. Written by people who actual walked with Jesus. Hope this helps. Be Well & God Bless
