Clive Cussler books

has anyone on mylot read any books by author clive cussler? if so, which ones? which is your favorite? and who is your favorite cussler character? his only motion picture from his books was "sahara"~do you feel any others should have been made in to a movie? looking forward to your responses...

I've read quite a few of his books. I'm currently reading "Plague Ship."
By the way, "Sahara" wasn't the only film based on his books. The first one was "Raise the Titanic," which is considered to be one of the worst films ever made. Cussler himself hated it so much it was 20 years before he permitted any more of his books to be made into a film - and I believe he wasn't too happy with "Sahara" either.

That's right I did read that "Raise the Titanic" was made in to a movie, 1980 or somewhere in that area? Oh well and yes, Cussler was not happy w/ Sahara at all. I believe he actually had some lawsuits going for it??? I am actually reading "Saraha" now...seeing the movie 2 years ago. I can say Matthew McConaughney made a great Dirk Pitt, but Steve Zahn as Al Giordino~didn't make a good fit. I am on page 65 and already the book is better than the movie. In the past 2 weeks, I completed reading "Dragon", "Deep Six", Vixen 03"...I read one and start another immediately. Thank you for your response !!!

My boyfriend and father both love reading Clive Cussler--I think between the two of them, they have all of Cussler's books. Since both of them like the author so much, I think I'm going to try some of his books, too!

If you like action/adventure novels then definately read Cussler. I started reading his books in December of '08 and I have already completed over half of his writings. They are going to be soooo good, you won't want to put them down~LOL! Ask me what is my favorite, and I will have to name at least 3!!! Thanks for your response!!!
