As most of you already know, I've fallen into a deep depression thanks to my family or the lack thereof. Now that we've finished cleaning out our woods, I have nothing to focus my mind on that I can take my frustrations out on. I mean, I do have books to read and a cross stitch to finish that I've been working on off and on for the past 10 years. LOL Yes, 10 years more or less. It's a really hard one but very pretty. I hope to finish it one day but I can't focus on it to do it right so that's out. Reading makes me sleepy. Can't work outside in other parts of our wooded areas because it's too hot. DANG IT!! I'm trying to work myself out of this rut but don't know how so that's where you come in, tell me something funny, a joke, a true story.... something!! Make me laugh!! I want to return to my old happy self once again but I need help!!
Today I made myself get up and do a few things that need doing which is customized the four blinds upstairs and hung up my coffee mugs on the wall. I have about 70 coffee mugs of all sorts as well as 36 of 'em being the states of the US so that's a lot of coffee mugs!! LOL What can I say? I love my coffee mugs and hope to have all 50 states some day. Anyway, I've done a few minor every day things too but nothing really helped me to feel better, that's why I'm calling on you my dear friends! C'mon! Make me laugh, if you can!!
Have you ever been in this rut that I'm in right now? How did you climb out of it? Don't keep any secrets now!! Do tell!!

Funny coincidence, not really a funny story. We have the same coffee mug collection. Really. I am not sure how many state or city mugs we have just yet, but a lot of them. I think we have more than seventy six mugs, though. Cats, do you have a Kansas Mug yet? I do not have either of the Carolinas. I have quite a few, though. Think of me thinking of you when you have a cup of coffee.

OK, here goes I am up for the challenge. Seriously I do hope you get to feeling better soon. Take care you know we all love you.
One for the girls
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my shape to keep.
Please no wrinkles, Please no bags
And please lift my butt before it sags.
Please no age spots, Please no gray
And as for my belly, Please take it away.
Please keep me healthy, Please keep me young,
And thank you Dear Lord, For all that you've done.
Five tips for a woman....
1. It is important that a man helps you around the house and has a job.
2. It is important that a man makes you laugh.
3. It is important to find a man you can count on and doesn't lie to You.
4. It is important that a man loves you and spoils you.
5. It is important that these four men don't know each other.
Foot Note:
One saggy boob said to the other saggy boob:
"If we don't get some support soon, people will think we're nuts."
Send this to five bright, funny women you know and make their day !!!

Here is another smile (I hope).
Grandma and Grandpa
Grandma and Grandpa were visiting their kids overnight. When Grandpa found
a bottle of Viagra in his son's medicine cabinet, he asked about using one
of the pills. The son said, "I don't think you should take one Dad;
they're very strong and very expensive."
"How much?" asked Grandpa. "$10.00 a pill," Answered the son.
"I don't care," said Grandpa, "I'd still like to try one, and before we
leave in the morning, I'll put the money under the pillow."
Later the next morning, the son found $110.00 under the pillow. He called
Grandpa and said, "I told you each pill was $10.00, not $110.00."
"I know," said Grandpa. "The hundred is from Grandma."

Honestly, the only thing that helped me when I was in a deep depression was meds...
Did I tell you I got to pet one of the kittens? Yes, one of the feral babies! He/she was so into licking the inside of the container that had held the tuna that he/she let me pet him/her for almost 30 seconds! So this is serious petting, not a "drive by" pet like we get in on Star as she runs off.

Awwww Elic!! That made me smile!! Precious little kitten, a life just starting out, so little and full of mischief. I love kittens!! I don't want any though, having 10 maybe 12, not sure yet, is quite enough for me to handle. But to see new life in this mean world, well, it's a blessing there regardless and I do hope they do have a great life in spite of everything.

Hi friend,
I am so sorry you're so depressed. Lord knows I've been there, done that. It is really hard to pull yourself out of it. Especially by yourself. Don't you have anyone that you can laugh with? If you don't, that is very sad. I cannot believe that a family would sit and watch one of their loved ones get so down on themselves.
I have followed you on here. It does seem that sometimes, I don't know if you're making yourself happy, but sometimes you do seem happy. Maybe you just put up a front sometimes like we all do. However, we usually do that for other people's sake, don't we.
Well I am here if you need someone to talk to. I hope to hear from you soon. And by the way, cheer up. I know it's hard, but just try.
Sincerely,
Cheryl

Oh, warm thoughts over to you. Good title to already start breaking the cage... ;o)
Since I've been through a lot over the years, at the moment, it just makes me think of one of my hardest times. I picked up one of my childhood, fun, chapter books and read it. I laughed and had fun and nostalgic, and just happy when reading it:
The BFG (Big Friendly Giant)
Did you read that book ever? If not, try it out, since you like reading, I think. :o)
Hugs

I don't know how depresion work and how to make it go away but I do know that it is sad to be in depresion. I have been in and out of depresion many times and they were all diferent but that those not make one better than the other. On one of my depresion I di not want to eat because I was not hungry I did wat a litle because my mom made me but I actually whent from 150 to 100 in less than a month. But I had a cousin that help me out alway making sure that I would try to get up from bed to do anything. And onther ocation I actually went from 120 to 140 I can't remember if it was in two months but it was also scary. And that time I had a friend that called me every single day and he would try to visit me when ever he had a chance and he would always bring me someting sweet. On other ocations I had to hide my depresion from others because I don't like people to pety me.
The thing that I hate about depresion is that we don't know he are in depresion until we are deep in it and is so hard to get out from it.
But you are doing something good by being hear in mylot talking to people those help you. Try to think a little positive each day that you wake up. Tell your self that you are perfect in everything, life is to short to be depresed, get up and do everything that you love to do and don't leat any free time. Just try to keep doing anything so you won't have any time to think about your depresion. Remember life is to short try to be happy all the time and love your self so you can love ohters. Happy mylotting

yesterday I was eating a pint of ice cream, the kind that comes in a box. I had it sitting on the coffee table and I'd just lean forward and grab a scoop when my spoon got empty. Just a small ways into it (yes I eat a pint all at once!) i looked before I scooped and saw a perfectly formed paw print in the ice cream. WHA? My cat has been messing with my ice cream? No one gets in between me and my ice cream! Cat's going down! I looked all over my apartment and couldn't find the little bugger anywhere. I gave up, scraped the top layer into the sink so I wouldn't eat kitty foot germs, sat down and carried on. Several minutes later i went for another scoop and DAMN! there's another paw print. I try to find kitty again but no luck. Suckers good at hiding. I decided at this point I have to figure out how my cat is getting into my ice cream with out my seeing her. I mean, she is small, but c'mon! How am I not noticing? So I hid around the corner and watched. Sure enough here comes kitty. She snuck up on the other side of the coffee table, jumped up, crouched behind the ice cream box (stupid sneaky kitty is small enough to do that), and then all I saw was a blur of black kitty as she reached into the box, smacked her paw into the ice cream, ran three legged to her litter box holding the ice cream covered paw as high as she could, then hid inside the litter box licking off the ice cream. I fell over and laughed for a good 10 minutes.
Oh, and yesterday I had an epic brain fart and posted on Facebook for all my friends to see the following status update: CRAP!!! I have to pee real bad!
Just what you want to share with friends and family. They all laughed.

Yes I have been depressed as well. But the way out wasn't another distraction and another one and another one. I had to find my religious roots again from childhood. But of course in a very very different way, not just fairy tale like Bible stories and ceremonies. Go and find Jesus in your heart. And if you need studies: he spoke in a quite modern way to Jakob Lorber (1800-1846), an Austrian musician, about the household of God, life after life, practice of love. I have seen some of the 12.000 handwritten pages of Jakob Lorber in original. Many of the texts of Jesus' "New Revelation" are available for free from www.franky1.com in English language.

How can you feel depressed with all those mugs...and those cats and dogs around you?? LOL!! I wish I could make you smile, but I can't remember a single story..wait, what about this one?
Three year old boy (pointing to his genitals): Mom, is that my brain?
Mom: Not yet, my son, not yet!
This is supposed to be the world's shortest joke. Hope it made you grin! I burst into a big belly laugh that woke the poor baby up when I read it.
Cheers and happy Mylotting

Hello cats and Dog ,
Get off the pity Pot ! U got a huge ring on your @$$ ! Na just kidding . lol !
When i get like this and believe me its many times a year , I try to find a place to go and voluntary . Somewhere were people r less fortunate than I am. Try your local soup kitchen . If you cant voluntary there go there and humble yourself and for one minute put yourself in someone else's shoes. Stand in the line and get some food and actually sit down and talk with the mother who is there with her child because her husband ran off with the food money . or the man who is so sick for a drink that he can't hold his fork long enough to put the food to his mouth , or your neighbor you didn't know she was in such a rut.Sometimes people just go there cuz they are so lonely that any place where there is some kinda of human contact is better than sitting alone in her apt, Because all her family has past away. I have done this many times and believe me I usually come out of there very Grateful for what I do have. The tears and sadness just seem to disappear for the day and tomorrow looks brighter for me. I also usually come out of there helping some one . Weather its a smile across the room or an ear for someone to talk to . Maybe even a shoulder that someone else can cry on. I can promise u that your crosses that u bare are much smaller than some of the people who have to go there for a meal. Hope this helps and please don't take offense to this either I meant no harm
