Websites that are similar to myLot?

myLot was the first and only BBS kinda web service where I can get paid to make posts.
There are many web services where you get paid for writing 'articles', but not for starting whatever discussion you like, or commenting whatever you think to other people's discussions.
Are there any sites that are similar?

MyLot reminded me of a website which I joined way back in 2000. Previously I wrote 2002, and I would like to apologise for mentioning the wrong year. There were many things happening to me when I wrote the year.
This site used to pay the top members in each category. There was a rating system which was then abused. The site has closed down.
Currently there are no sites exactly similar to myLot. There were wannabes, resulting in quite a number of myLotters 'defecting' to them, attracted by the higher earnings initially offered, and a relatively less strict rule on the length of posts. Several have closed down, or changed their rules, or combined with another non-paying site.
New sites where we earn cash or points keep on emerging. They do not have the same feel as myLot. It is a matter of speculation how long the sites offering a better earning rate can last.
Maybe a better, similar site will emerge. Until then it is best to stick to myLot. A site where gaining new information can be fun.

I have not found any site like myLot where one can communicate with people from countries around the world.

Hi ausgc, Mylot must be the oldest discussion site that has become more popular with each year. But there are many such sites like morachat and others. I am unable to recollect the names right now...Though not anything like here. Their range is very limited with far less number of members and topics..
