Visited my daughter, granddaughter and son-in-law in Texas for 7 days. Originally thought I'd visit 14 days however, I did not have enough PTO time because I had to use it when our case load was down. My granddaughter celebrated her 11th birthday while I was there (and the 4th of July). She wanted a lap top (I thought she had one already, but it was a desk top). In any event, being that she is the only grandchild...I got it for her in the color she desired. Dark blue. She was so elated that the only time she came out here room was to eat a quick bite. If I'd known she would have become such a laptop addict (like me), then she would have gotten it the day before I left.(lol) She must have thought I would be there forever. Poor baby cried so hard that I had to leave security check to console her. Then, I was the grown behind whimp that had to go back through security with watery eyes. Talked to her and the others since my safe arrival (I hate those turbulence) and she is doing ok. Son-in-law had me cook 4 sweet potato pies and another 4 the night before I left. They do not like sharing the pies (lol). Hopefully they don't want to see another pie when I return. Oh well, I will bore you no further. I miss them once again but, it's nice to be home. Hubby was so happy to see me too. He's not use to coming home and not seeing me there unless I'm arriving after work. Next year it's Jamaica and hopefully I can squeeze in another Texas trip. If not, see them in 2011 if the Lord will.
