Yesterday the world said good-bye to Micheal Jackson. It was very upsetting to see such a great pop singers world end in drugs . I never realized how many people actually loved Micheal. I can remember when Elvis died and yes he is dead .lol! I don't know which ones farewell was bigger. It was as if we were watching the King's death all over again. They both seem to have that passion for music and love for humanity.
On Michaels memorial it was so moving to see the crowd of people that loved him so.I am sure Micheal Jackson himself was there and present at his own memorial.( in spirit ) So many stars were close to him and all had such personal relationship with Micheal. There was one star that was not there and I was so surprised not to see her there, was Dianna Ross. They didn't give an explanation or I didn't hear one why she was not going to be there. For such a short time to get this Farewell Memorial together it was a great success! All that was put into this was great . I personally would like to thank Katherine & Joe Jackson for allowing this to be public. It only shows that Micheal was true to his Fans . Did you watch this and what did u think of it?

hi debster65,
Yes I watched it but had to keep going to the kitchen as I was in the middle of cooking, and yes, i found it very moving, I cried a littke, it is so sad but I think now we should let him be at peace, but he will always be king of pop for ever more.

That must of been hard making dinner and running back & forth to the area where your TV is lol ! As far as letting Micheal Jackson go and letting him be at peace , People will let go when they are ready too . I can remember and even now family would tell me "let it go ! " when I was missing a loved one who past . I just can't turn it off like some can . But yes as far as Micheal I can. At the very beginning of the service a letter was read that was from Diana Ross. I watched the service and i was very moved by how it was put together. and i hope that it helped his children hearing other people talk about him in such a good way. I am sure that they are the ones that are going to have a tough road ahead of them now that he is gone.

I still have my mom, but my father passed in 2003, and i know what you mean about feeling him around, because their are some days that i feel my dad with me...just like i could reach out and touch him.
I also have a grand son he is 8yrs old now, but when we would visit my mon, Dylan, would sit on the floor in front of my dads chair and talk to him just like he is sitting their. one time we asked him who he was talking to he said papaw..and he was only 3 years old.
I believe that our loved ones are around us all the time.
