When we were in college, and needed to study overnights, we drank tea, coffee and what not to keep ourselves awake, but even now if some night i dont feelsleepy, i take something to read, newspaper or some software lang book(oracle , C n all, not novels), n within minutes i start feeling sleepy.
Which books make you feel sleepy.

I will always feel sleepy when reading, even though I am reading something that I am very interested in. I think is because my eyes felt tired looking at so many words, that's why I will feel sleepy once i read something. If I can't fall asleep at night, then I will do some reading, and as you say, it is more effective that sleepping pills. LOL.

Hi there!
Yes, reading books can make me sleepy too. It doesn't matter what kind of book it is but usually, when lying down, after a while reading, my eyelids will feel heavy, more of tiredness and not boredom.

Hi, friend.
Yes, I feel sleepy if i am lying while reading. If the sublect is theory, eyes become heavy in just an hour, but if it is numerical then there is no sleepiness until i get tired. Well, boring subjects make you sleep in 15 minutes very much like my book on computer architecture.
Happy Mylotting!!
