Why do people say " I slept like a baby"?

Babies wake up almost every two hours, so why do people say they slept like a baby??? Thats a very good question, do you have a very good response??

Small babies do wake up frequently because they are hungry. But as they get older, many of them sleep for 12 hours straight! Also, many babies will sleep through anything. They are refreshed and happy when they wake up.
I wish that I could sleep like a baby more often!
