Shaving/waxing

Do you shave : Armpits? Legs? face? crotch? Is shaving a sociological thing that we do to better acclimate to societies norms? American women are trained from a very young age to shave after puberty. When we see a woman with furry under arms, we cringe or make snide remarks to ourselves. Our bathing suits are skimpy enough that almost anyone who wears one has hair hanging out somewhere, unless they shave/wax. Euro women don't seem to shave underarms, to me that's gross (and smelly)) to them it's their norm. Does body hair gross you out? why? I can't help skeeving at this, but way back when I worked on a para sail boat, foreigners would come in speedo's and thongs with nasty crotch hair hanging out like a chi-pet. Or worse, teaching furry (NOT pandas either!) folks to how to surf....they'd finally stand up and the board would be covered in chest/belly hair...ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

Personally, I like to shave, just about everything. I only wax my eyebrows. I can't wax anything else because it hurts and I do not like pain. I also don't like my men hairy..unless its regular hair like on their legs and arms and under the arm pits..but I dislike hair on the chest and every where else. It is just too much. I do keep in mind that it is my personal preference and everyone else has a choice to decide if they want to shave/wax or not. I try not to think that they are weird because hey we did grow this hair for a reason in the first place, right? I don't want to offend other people because of their personal decisions.

I like my man "manscaped". groomed, not wildly bushy anywhere. I just don't like hair on ME.

well body hair on men doesn't gross me out but like you british women have been brought up to do a lot of shaving. some european women leave their underarms alone and their men are not in the least bothered. i think all the shaving is just a cultural thing - and to be honest a bit of a pain.

Well personally, I am very lucky and I do not have to shave as much as apparently every other over-indulgent woman in America does. I do not mind having a little hair under my arms. I do not mind having a little hair on my legs. I do not shave in my private areas, except for to trim the forest. I do think it looks nice when you shave, but it is not an all-consuming pasttime, as it is with my teenage daughter. I want to drop her in the middle of Germany someday and let her see that there are women who have hair and live through the experience. Thank you for your question, and have fun on MyLot. I appreciate your input here, because someday, I may make payout here again!

I do shave my underarms, every now and then right after I take a bath. It is a little tedious when you pluck it. Sometimes, I also shave my legs. I think it looks neat when it is hair free.
