I am happy with Internet banking, social networking, watching movies on Internet and using Skype for international calling. I also noticed that I spend more time in front of computer, between my work and my home. I push myself now to do more biking and art work. I have to discipline myself to stay away from computer. In the other hand, it is so hard to imagine one day without Internet connection.

I am glad now that I have let the Children persuade 6 years ago to go on the Net once I was told I would not be able to work again as I would be totally lost without it
I have taught myself on here with a lot of things including making Graphics and Layouts and enjoy it very much

Well, I am not using computer from last 10 years but I must say as I have internet at my home from last 6 years, I am completely addicted to it for some or other reason. I was used to chat a lot when I was new to this virtual world. I have made many good friends and some online jobs too. Now I want to keep myself away from this net world so that I can spend my time in real world.

I think that in some way the Internet has changed everyone's lives. From the way we shop to way we get our news, the Internet is the major obstacle of change for billions of people worldwide. The majority of my time when not at work is spent in front of a computer while engaged in some type of Internet activity. Our schools are going to be Internet based in the future. Operating Systems are going to Internet based (or as it's more technically known as cloud computing). Businesses are online. Banks are online. Grocery stores are online. Department stores are online.

Since I discovered the existence of the internet, it helps me do my research and be able to connect to the world and my long lost friends who are living on the other part of the globe. I had my online earnings and be able to do my long time dream to write even in article writing and blogging online.

I spend lot's of time on the net. I too love internet banking and other things I can do online. When I was studying it was a great help to me. Now I'm living in a remote community I can do things much more easily including keeping in touch with family.
However I do neglect my chores and other hobbies and this is nor a good thing. Being online so much has probably also contributed to my weight gain. I wish I was more disciplined.

Me too! I cannot imagine life without being online. I do all my banking, post on my Blog, and use the internet for a learning tool. mylot is also a great entertainment. There is no doubt the internet is addictive, but I feel this addiction is not at all harmful, at least not in the way I use it. If you would like to read my Blog just send an IM for the URL.

I feel it makes connecting with people faster and mor efficient. It also helps with my photography because most of it is digital. I also love using it in my work life. Most my work depends on the internet. Also I take college online for distant learning. I am in the military with a family so this is the only way college works for me. I can find so many useful ways I use the internet. I am happy with it. It is a big part of my lifestyle at the moment.

Hi, friend. ten years ago, i didn`t even know about internet. Five years ago, I didn`t ever used it once. It was only three years ago that i became an active internet user. Now, I heavily depend on internet for my studies, shopping, reservations, software support and now for money. It has certainly bee a revolution.
Happy mylotting!!

I am not at all or maybe was not at all a computer savvy person. The question about using internet for different purposes did not come into question. And when it comes to 10 years of using internet, its been for the past one year that I have been using internet and during this past one would I would confirm happily that I have achieved quite a lot of information, made friends, remained in touch with them. Now its so embedded into my daily life, that it would be impossible to separate from internet. I work as a freelancer and the way internet has helped me to do my research work has been tremendous. Another important feature- internet banking, that has saved the task of being physically present in the bank. So the advantages are never ending. As rightly said by polachicago it so hard to imagine one day without internet communication.

I suppose it's a bit harder to live without the internet when you've grown up with it. I use the internet for just about everything I do. I shop with it, research, i use it to find where to go or what direction to take, or for advice, it truly is a revolutionary tool

Internet has made communication to other people a lot more easier but at the same time has made personal interaction less frequent. I also have internet banking and social networking. I also get to earn online which is something that is very new to me. You are right when you said that you are trying to do more activities away from the computer because sitting in front of the computer the whole day is not a very good way to live our lives. We need to exercise our physical body was well.

drastically. I am introvert and I never made enough money to go abroad or even talked to people abroad. going abroad for people in my birth country is a luxury, only the rich can do that unless they go as labor. so by internet I got to communicate with people all over the world. I met my hubby online, got married and moved to Canada. He brought me to a different life and different future that I have never imagined before. I didn't want to move here at first, I was planning to live with him somewhere else. but he likes it here so I just followed him. My worst enemy is winter of course, but other than that I have learned to live with.

I have used the internet for many things too. When im not online im playig sims3. I also have to make myself go do other things. If not the bottom part of me wants to remain a part of the chair. Actually hurts when i want to get up.
Really i get irate if the internet connection goes wrong. Lately the thing that connects the internet to the computer says im not online. If it keeps acting up i will take it back to comcast and change it.

I can still imagine a day without internet, but I cannot imagine a longer period of time without internet, because that's where my sources of entertainment coming from. Not only that, I do my internet banking and sometimes online shopping too, especially booking a flight ticket. but the most important thing that I do using internet will be searching for information. I elarn,a nd read and discover so many greta things through the internet. Me too, need to discipline myself to stay away from internet and computer, but I don't think I can do that as there are so many things to do and learn.
