The only thing in this world that is certain is change... but not while Obama and the G8 have anything to say about it. They actually think it is up to them to decide what the average global temperature is supposed to be... even if science can't even tell us that. They pulled the number "2" out of their butts and are now congratulating themselves for it. 2 degrees celsius (3.6F) is the new posted rise in temperature limit. I guess those volcanos and calderas better start behaving, or Obama is going to sic ACORN on them! :~D

How dare you write a post that is negative towards our most wonderful lords! I am sick and tired of you, ParaTed speaking the truth about the most wonderful, magnums leader, Barack H. Obama. You do not understand, ParaTed, when the G8 from a circle while putting their hands together rivers raise and mountains fall. While actually it is the power of a Caterpillar tracker but we must give them credit.

Hey, I'm sure scientists are the ones telling them the information, and they arn't just pulling this stuff out of nowhere. Seriously man, anybody can do what you said, but the president is actually gonna do some research, I can guarantee that. For the most part. As long as it's not an emergency, and this isn't.

Science can't even tell us what the average global temperature is supposed to be, much less give Prs. Obama enough information to help him decide how to force the earth to do his bidding.

Also, Obama has already been caught burying a scientific report against man caused global climate change.

The point with the "science" is that it is unclear. Different scientists say different things. However, the scientists that give the most grim scenario that would result in the most government control are the scientists being listened to. All other scientists are literally put out to pasture. If that's not suspicious to everyone in the world, nothing is or ever will be. I watched a television show just last night were some very, very smart and well-respected scientists in their field claim that our planet's upcoming allignment in 2012 is also a contributing factor to larger hurricanes, melting ice, stronger earthquakes, etc. But nobody can use that view to their advantage.

Obama with the help of his minions, excuse me, the G8, thinks that they know better then God. Why I think if someone shouted in Obama's presence? "Where are you God?" Obama would answer,"I'm over here. What is your request?" I wonder if they are into a visit to Manitoba during the month of January? That will quickly kill their idea of Global Warming. We sometimes get down to minus 40 and that is without the added windchill during that month. Oh and I guess if God disobeys them, and decides to have the average global temperature next year to be 1.5 degrees celcius or 3 degrees celcius, their wrath will be very great.

These guys are not interested in global warming, gas house emission and etc. They just want to put on a great show to the world that they are doing something great for the world and we have to pay for it. Let me ask you this, if there is a bucket of water overflowing and spilling all the water out , would you take another smaller bucket and catch those excess water or would you rather turn the tap off or maybe just used the water in the bucket first then turn on the tap again. Its exactly what its happening here, They would rather catch all those excess emission with a smaller bucket of 15% while blaming on the cost it would cost their developing economy. I feel why not reward the country with the lowest green house emission like lowering import taxes for them or increase their global export market value due to the efficiency in building and providing a quality product for the least amount of damage to the environment. That sir is the way forward that should be condone by the UN or whatever global power. Remember the planet, our bucket can only hold so much water at a certain time.Once it breaks there is no more bucket for us...ever!

I don't even know how to respond to that!!! What do they do now that temps have been dropping as of last couple of years and lite hurricane activity? The only thing that will make their argument even look remotly possible is a super volcano explosion from yellowstone. And to think people actually watch these clowns walk away from that meeting and drool and say oooh ahhhh what great leaders...

The temperatures have been increasing because of greenhouse gases. Looks at the ice caps, THEY ARE MELTING. Seriously man. Their argument is proven. Oh, and the temperatures have definately not been decreasing. Plus, if a super volcano explosion happened in yellowstone, alot more than just temperature rising would occur.

I agree. I don't like to see new regulations put into place when they seem unnecessary or arbitrary (like 2 degrees). Regulations can be useful, but they are most often unnecessary and restrictive, and worst of all once something is in place it is very difficult to get rid of. I also believe that politics should be taken out of science wherever possible. That is not to say that politicians should not listen to scientists, rather that scientific data should be kept pure - unaltered by politicians to fit their agendas.

Sadly, as long as science is so heavily reliant on government funding, it will be heavily political.

Today's world leaders are the most power hungry in world HISTORY! Forget Alexander. Forget Caesar. Forget Khan. Forget the rest of the conquerers. Today's leaders trump them all! Way back when, they only wanted to own the world. Today, they want to totally control the world and every single living organism in it. And it is in no way reserved to only Barack Obama, with his uber-elitist stature and cape-carrying minions. It's all of them! These guys live in a totally different world than we do. They're surrounded by people who would never, ever disagree with them. Why? Because they'll knock you down a rung or few on the totem poll if you do! They're being fed exactly what they need to hear in order to proceed with massive power grabs. (I'm far from a conspiracy theorist with 99% of all issues, but I truly believe there's a media conspiracy in America to make the 'truth' look like right-wing zealotry -- but that's another debate entirely.) It's a huge, worldwide groupthink cell. Only a few leaders are stuck in the old ways, simply wanting to own the world: Ahmandinejad, Jong-Il, Chavez, etc. Those may be cruel and vicious tyrants, murdering their way to infamy. But I honestly fear these super elitists more! They're not satisfied to simply hold titles. They want to control every conceivable aspect of Earth. The devils you know...

I love your new and improved avatar, lol, it's great!! I needed a smile today. I guess as long as Pres. Obama (the annointed one) is in the White House, we're going to see more of these ridiculous, waste-of-time declarations. I hope that they are proved wrong big time, by either an act of God or something. If North Korea sends a missile to D.C., do you think that might change the Obama statistics on their temperature prediction?? Thanks for the info..
