Here is a funny travel story. I was once visiting Bangkok, Thailand, the land of smiles. It is a beautiful City, many attractive places to see. The roads get pretty congested though, with heavy traffic all the time. One has to be careful when driving or crossing the roads. There was a funny remark in the Bangkok Post newspaper about that. A foreigner was telling his foreigner friend : "You have lived in Bangkok too long if you start looking both ways even when you are crossing a one way street." Ha , ha ! Very intelligent guy, putting it very intelligently too !! Share your funny travel story. Have you experienced any funny things while travelling ?

I have this one incident, July of last year. We were on our way to our "Team Building" seminar in Botolan, Zambales here in my country. It is a beautiful resort that i hope you could visit next time you're in the Philippines. We were in three vans and our problem was wrong chose of words. As we understood, on the 1st van we would be waiting for the 2nd and 3rd van at the entrance of the SCTEX (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway) so that we would be travelling in a convoy. But as it turned out the 2 vans misunderstood and went ahead so that they were at the exit of the SCTEX enroute to Subic, Olongapo where they waited for us. We were all eyes to all the vehicles passing by and we didn't see them, because they are at the other end almost near our destination, waiting for us. It took us about an hour waiting there, so we went ahead thinking of what have had happened to them. We have been calling them, so at last we connected and we had a big laugh when we learned that they were already at the other end waiting.all along we thought that we left them behind. It was a good laugh and an unforgettable experience for all.

I remember my mum passed her driving test when I was a teenager my friend Green Line. We went to stay in a cottage for a week. My mum didn't know the area and drove the wrong way down a one way road. She got hotted at and had to revers all the way back down the road. When I was in Romania I managed to buy a train ticket at the ticket desk in Bucharest in two minutes. I had to run to the train and it left strait away. I sat with three Bulgarian ladies. At the border they paid customs officers US dollars. They were taking in huge amounts of trainers. In Eastern Europe sometimes bribes take place.

When I was travelling in China years ago, I was grabbed by a Chinese man and his family in Tiananmen Square in Beijing and dragged into their family photo that they made my friend take!!! So somewhere in a Chinese photo album is me, this long haired, bearded white man in the middle of a family tourist photo!!! It was hilarious as we did not understand what they wanted at first and I have been able to laugh about it for years! :-)
