So hard to find work

I have been out of work for about six months now. I have put in for fast food all the way up to what I was doing before. It seems that any kind of CNC work is almost no more. Just last week I filled out close to 20 applicants. Is there anyone else looking this much and not finding anything?

It does seem rather terrible to find any kind of work at the moment! At the moment im in a modern apprenticeship and my contract will be coming to an end soon. There is four of us modern apprentices and only 2 can get an advancement in the company. So I had a look on job center websites, just incase I didnt get the advancement, and there is practically nothing in my area and in my trade; IT Technician.
