Michael Jackson's daughter's tearful farewell at the memorial was very touching and heart wrenching. But did ABC's Good Morning America have to exploit it the way they did this morning by showing it over and over and over. Every segment, and there were many, they did that was even remotely connected to MJ had it. They must have shown it at least ten times. That seems like just blatant exploitation of a little girls grief to me.

If you ask me, MJ is the one that did the exploiting. He chose to live the life he did and chose to bring children into it.
I'm not saying Good Morning America was right, but if he wasn't living the life he chose, it wouldn't have been an issue. I feel for the kids, but he's the one that brought all that on.

Here in England we have GMTV to wake up to. They kept playing it over and over here too, to the point where I turned my TV off as I couldnt stand to see a little girl hurting so bad! I wasnt a fan of Michael Jackson not like some people anyway I liked a few of his songs and most people I know are the same I feel the man is getting exploited himself now he has passed on. He didnt get this much publicity whilst he was alive so why so much now hes gone. I understand that everyione wants to get their supposed 'mark of respect' in but does it really have to be done like this.

I never was a fan either and he was very strange for the last ten or more years. Besides the child molestation accusations that may or may not have been true, there was video evidence of him dangling his kids out of an upper story window.

The memorial really was touching the first time I saw it, but the clips being repeated over and over again has really become tiresome and sickening. I agree that there has been exploitation of his daughter's and others' grief, and GMA is definitely not the only offender. The last week has been a testament of the sad state of TV news -- I think they take stories and ram them into the ground primarily because it is easy and cheap for them to do so and they don't care who they exploit in the process. Michael Jackson dying WAS a big story that did upset a lot of people and probably was of some interest to most people...but acting like it was the only story in the world is absolutely ridiculous.

I was thinking the same thing myself about the media regarding her tearfelt goodbye, not just Good Morning America but all of the news shows, and even commercials promoting the news using that clip. I bet I have seen that clip at least 20 times today if not more. Yes it was a very touching moment, and I get sad every time I see it, but they really should stop.

It's all going to show that American is hungry to see Michael Jackson's kids. They will likely now go after them more than ever. Hopefully, the family will protect them rather than exploit them. It's obvious that Michael Jackson did not want his children in the public eye. I hope that will be respected.

Not that I am disagreeing with you or making excuses, but I think it was such a big deal because she was secluded from the public for so long. Everyone was interested in getting a glimpse of her. They do however, need to give her respect and give her time to grieve for her father.
