I really do think that too many shots for kids are a major factor in not all but alot of autisim in our kids, now I'm sure we can all agree that the FDA is a corrupt government entity that can be and is bought off all the time. Now once the Kenyan gets thru his universal Healthcare who is going to watch this agency????? As stands now at least there is private entities that question the FDA and their approval methods of drugs on fact base science but under Kenyan Care who will be able to question them and will parents be able to opt out of shots and certain medicines if they want??

Why would they want to? Vaccinations are there to prevent the contraction and spread are far more deadly illnesses besides autism. I do think that it is necessary to public health to get children vaccinated, and I truly doubt the claim that these vaccinations have any part in autism. Would you want to risk your child's health over an unproved claim?

the word Thermasol comes to mind, a mercury based agent in some of shots, there have been so many studies on that agent that now I think they knocked the level way down so parents keep getting shots cause the movement of those not wanting to vaccinate their kids is growing. When many of us were little these kids were passed off as hyper, misbehaving all the time, ADD.

The FDA mandated removal of thermasol from all vaccines in 2002. The rates of autism have not decreased. When careful examination of children who have autism the signs of it are found as early as 9 months of age, but at one year. Typically it is the second year of a child when vaccinations are administered. Parents see the correlation — a child gets vaccinated and the child begins more overt signs of autism, and seeks to make that correlation. http://skepticdoc.com/?p=17

Obama needs to get his head checked. And Governor Palin has an autistic kid and she got knocked for it, but you know what, I think that just makes her a cooler choice for presidency if she goes out for it. She understands what other parents are going through when it comes to autism. Itsn't it better that we have someone who understands than some nimrod who just 'thinks' he knows whats best?

She doesn't have an autistic child, she has a child with Down Syndrome.

The Kenyan in Chief, LOL! I do not want the same government that employees three buttock scratches for every none scratched when it comes time to repave a road. When ever you drive by a section of road being worked on and you see that little sign road work ahead, why is it that I rarely see any body doing anything? Is that how my doctor is going to turn in to once he become a government employee? Obama speaks about this public option, my question is if this public option is going to be so good why are Congressmen and Senators refusing to give up their own health care plans which are provided through private insurance companies? I think every Congressman and Senator that votes for this public option should be striped of their private health insurance, since we the taxpayers pay for it, and put on Medicaid.

Irish already stated that the thought that shots contribute to Autism has not been proven yet, and I also think that it is important to bear in mind that it is only recently in history that there has been any focus on what causes Autism, I mean heck it was only like 50 years ago, maybe less, that doctors were still performing lobatomies on mental patients because they really thought it was a cure....it may turn out to be true that vaccines can cause Autism, but it is going to take YEARS of research and so as of yet, nothing is proven.

This has never been proven, has no scientific basis and means the same as when they called the mothers of autistic children "refrigerator moms". Junk science.

When I first was pregnant, over 7 years ago I got into this topic to be an overprotective parent... I went right out and joined the webbers against government control of hurting kids with poisoned shots.. and the unknown stayed in my head. Years later, living on welfare, I realized that is the standpoint to protect the wealth of an independant wealthy person who can choose each morsel of substainsance their child obsorbes..I got stuck with store bought formulas and manufactured bedroom sets... So that tells me, I can't choose if there is a real danger in prevention regulated shots. And if any parent like me tries to think different, then you they are neglecting their kids health, and the kid can't even be admitted to nursery school, let alone the entire public school system... So, if you or people of your interests have a real intention to go into a court of law and demonstrate some actual case, than it is your right to. It is not just the FDA, it is the entire government and the system of wealth from the poorest to the richest who are responsible parents to make available an option for a different system. While other governments can say they have dangerous risks, we can say we don't have an informercial to beg for rice portions to feed our kids: we have a welfare office to stand in line for..
