Is it good to smoke in front of children???

Smoking in this day and age is just plain dumb. Smoking around Children is even worse. Who in their right mind would want to jeopardise the health of a child through second hand smoke. And yes it sets a bad example because children are impressionable and will see this as "cool" and be tempted to follow what they see. They should be educated as to the risks and dangers of smoking.

Are you kidding me? this is a very bad habit. I know some people do some stupid stuff around kids. I see most of them are pregnant and still smoking and even with their kids. I don't know what are they thinking but this is bad. how do you feel if you breath in with all the smoke?

Do you have to ask? the answer is obviously NO! its either infront of kids or infront of other people..second hand smoke is way harmful than the one smoking. plus it sets bad example for kids.

Second hand smoke isnt good in lots of diffrents ways such as -Poloution -It makes young children curious of smoking -Isnt good for peoples lungs -Kills many people I would say its one of the worst habits people could do thats legal.

But, if you do smoke, its not good to smoke in front of children due to two regions- - It promotes the bad habit of smoking in them also. - It causes passive smoking, which the research says, is more harmful for the person around the smoker than it is for the smoker. Passive smoking occurs because the smoke enters the other person`s respiratory tract. So, if you are smoking in front of your children, it is more harmful for them than it is for you. No, never!! I agree with your views. Smoking infront our childrens do help them to attract towards this very bad habit. Being parent one should note that he or she is himself personally training his childrens to start smoking in their early years because they notice the acts and automatically get trained for this activity.

It is definately bad manners to smoke in front of children. It forces the children to breathe in the second hand smoke, which is no less harmful. Besides, the negative influence from smoking adults might result in curiosity to imitate.

No, I do not think it's good to smoke in front of the kids at all. Yes, similarly to you, I did see before parents who smoke in front of the kids. It's not good to allow your kids to breathe in the second hand smoke that you blow out. I do agree that kids may fall sick easier, and they may be prone to other lung disease too. I think if they really care for their kids' health, they should not smoke in front of the kids. As for the parental influence to the kids to smoke later in their life, I think this all depends on the kids themselves. However, I think there may also be some chances that they may be curious about smoking and start smoking too. I think it will be hard for the parents to step in to get your kids not to smoke, as they themselves are smoking too.

I think it isn't good to smoke in fron tof children. Aside from that they may imitate it, they are also eposed to the toxins smoking brings out. They can get lung diseases more than the smoker. Parents or adults should be responsible enough to care for others. Not just only for the children, but also for those people who don't smoke. Smokers should smoke in smoking areas and not just anywhere they want.

To me..smoking is not good for the person who is doin the smoking and also for the person around him/her. Especially in front of children,not good for their lung system. I hate going to smoky places like pub or ourdoor bars.

I think kids are going to see smokers no matter what. Sure, its a bad habit, but kids are usually curious anyway. However, subjecting young children to second hand smoke is wrong in my opinion. I only smoke if I've had a few drinks and never around kids.

I think it's awful to smoke in front of and around children. So no, it's definitely not good. Children who see their parents smoking might think it's alright for them to smoke themselves and might even try it at a young age. What I don't get is the smokers who have a fit when they catch their children smoking. What do they expect when the children see their parents doing it all the time??

Hi tuyakiki, I am a smoker and a heavy one. But, I rarely do it in front of the kids or even to my non smoking friends. I try to find a place where I can smoke without bothering someone else. But, sometimes you just can't avoid it especially in a party. Happy mylotting and have a nice day.

Hi to everyone! I think that would be the most detestable thing that anyone could have done. Children's immune system needs to be strengthened. By exposing them to second hand, children will be prone to sickness. Children need to be taken cared of well while they are still young.

My answer is no for so many reasons. First, no because of health concerns. Children are so vulnerable to passive smoke, they can get some smoking-related diseases. Second, no because children tend to copy behaviors that they see from adults.

Absolutely NOT. Smoking itself is a bad habit, and doing that in front of kids is even worse.. You know, passive smoking is equally dangerous as active smoking. And also kids learns from parents, if you have a bad habit, you can't hold your children from having one.. Happy mylotting..

Every parent must take this concern seriously. Smoking in front of children, surely create an urge in them to smoke. We at least dont want to be a wrong model to our children.
