Does mylot help you create other projects to write on?

I visit MyLot to when I am sidetracked or have writers block... I know I want to write and I don't know what to write... I might have an idea that relates to my interests, and then there is another user on the web to discuss with.. Does this site help you to find a more creative flare? What helps you get out of writer's block?
