Rapid developing Pc industry gives great change to people's habit of reading.More and more people are customed to have a read in pc or other electrolic equitment, for they have large capacity and much convenience than paper book's reading. On the other hand, there are still many people prefer a paper reading. They think a paper reading is more comfortable than a electrolic one. What's your opinion? Please come to tell us.

i think electronic reading would benefit business people for example if they are on public transport going to a meeting they can read their books electronically, but i prefer paperback like you said because it is comfortable, whereas a laptop heats up and you have to be careful with it.

I prefer paper books, because they are easier to read. If I want to fully read an ebook I print it out.
The price of ebook readers does seem to be coming down though. I recently saw a pdf compatible one in Waterstones for only(!) £189. I'll probably purchase a reader at some point, as I have a lot of pdfs that I haven't properly read yet.

Call me old-fashioned but when I read I prefer it to be a book. I do most of my reading in bed, I can't imagine having to hold my monitor there. :)
My eyes aren't very good and reading from a book is easier on my eyes, reading from a computer strains my eyes, must be the background light, the screen is bright.

as to me,i prefer to read paper book, but it is an undeniable fact that e-book plays an increasing important role in my daily life.e-books can be read everywhere, everytime it is more convenient to read than paper books cause it can be put in your cellphone,mp5...but we should not ignore that reading an e-book makes our eyes tired...

This is a problem that the publishing industry is really struggling with. There is SO much resistance to electronic books, even though everyone knows we'll be a paperless society eventually. The success of Amazon.com's Kindle has really helping the ebook industry, I believe.
Personally, I still prefer to hold the old-fashioned paperback between my fingers. I just love my books. While I really like the idea of saving space, and being able to take multiple books with you wherever you go, that's still nothing like holding the printed copy and enjoying it.

I feel proud and comfortable when I see many paper books stand side by side in my bookshelf. And it is impossible for an ebook to give me that feeling.Hold many paper books make me more positive to get new knowledge.and the more knowledge i get,the more happiness i will own.

I like to sit in a comfortable chair and hold a paper book. It is enjoyable to read it and when I pause I can use a cardboard book mark to keep the page. I don't like reading an electronic book on my laptop nearly as much. If the paper book costs ten dollars and the electronic book three dollars I will choose the paper copy. Proper reading is the way for me.

I dont think I have ever acutally read an ebook. Any of these books are good to read and I think an ebook would be just as good as a paperbook, but I cant be sure. I just think there are many things that are interesting and ebooks are quite amusing and I think that I would like reading them. paper books are interesting too.

I much prefer to read a paper book. I really enjoy reading and I find it easier to read a paper book. I have a difficult time reading electronic books or things online. Why? I'm not entirely sure, but it's just the way that I do things, and have the habit of doing things, of reading.

I still prefer to read a paper book, one that I can feel and hold in my hands. I do a lot of electronic reading (work & research), so for my own relaxation and entertainment, I would like to lie down on the sofa or bed, and read a book. It's much better and more comfortable than holding a laptop in bed.

I like the paper book more, actually I don't like the electronic one, the paper book is more like a book, you can touch the paper, and read the words. And I'd like to stay on bed, and reading a book, the paper one feel more comfortable than the electronic one, so I will choose the paper one.

Well i guess you talking about the books and e-books, if i am not wrong. Then i really love to read novels rather than e-books.E-books are the ones which are available online, i really get bored and dont find enough concentrated while reading e-books, so i prefer to read a novel than an e-book. :)

i prefer a paper book, maybe because i'm a traditional person.
i like to take my book to anywhere i go , so when i have time i can read it . not like electrical one it has freedom or you also can leave your personal mark on it.
also i think the paper one will be less worse to our eyes and our necks.
also i can keep the paper one for ever.
I also found some classical books still just have paper copy, so i think paper book can give me choice.
however paper one will cause space to keep them it's true.

Electronic books has its advantages, but for the simple enjoyment of reading, nothing quite beats the old original, the paperback. Thousands of years have passed since the first scrolls have been written down and passed on from generation to generation, and still man delights the learning/enjoyment one gets from the reading of a book clasped between their hands, their eyes fixated on each page, mesmerize by the depth of pure excitement that is contained within those pages.

I prefer reading a paper book because it is easier on the eyes. Sitting in front of a computer, reading a book can really hurt your eyes after awhile. Plus it is easier to put down and pick up later especially if you have a family to think about.

Hi there,
It depends, when I found a new book on book market or internet market, I first search from internet whether it have a electrolic copy, then I read it. If the book is good enough for me, I'll buy a paper book to fill my collection, all my book collection would be first read on electrolic copies for at least twice, then I'll consider of buying a paper book of them.
Those without electrolic copies, then I'll have to buy a paper book, that's it.
