Are Traffic Exchange sites really bad for Google Adsense enabled blog/websites?

Hi there, I have a personal blog about past & present Hollywood blockbuster movies and I have enabled Adsense in it to earn extra money... But I'm getting few hits & visits, so I decided to join EasyHits4U, AutoHits.dk. & recently, FreeImpproveAlexaRanking. I did stop all activities from these TE sites because I have read that I can get my Adsense account in trouble if Google would find out later that I'm using TE sites to amass hits & visitor from other websites & internet users. Is there someone here that have had problems w/ their Adsense account for using TE sites? If yes, kindly explain it to me Sir/Ma'am...Thanks & Good day to all!
