Sock Puppet = Psudonim/pen name

OMG, did anyone else see this? why the bugger do we need ANOTHER word for the same bloody thing? I mean, this kinda annoys me. I don't want people to refer to my psudonim as a 'sock puppet'!
That's childish on so many levels!

Okay, you lost me. I do use a pen name when I write. It's actually my initials and maiden name. Haven't heard the sock puppet thing.

I just don't like this new fangled thing. Ah, I guess I am not as hip as I thought it was when it comes to writing. Ugh, I should find a boring nine-to-five job! *cries*

Believe me, following rules irritates me to no end but to be a writer you gotta follow a few of them. Most writers do have a nine to five job. Becoming Stephen King doesn't come in an instant. Keep writing.
My name is a play on words. irishidid-I wish I did, plus I'm Irish so it works.

Well, I was looking at the Urban Dictionary the other day and I found this word. I thought it was rather stupid, seeing as how a pen name, a Psudonim are the same thing, an asumed name we writer's or anyone else for that matter, can use to keep ourselves safe.
I just thought that the use of sock puppet was rather childish. *lol*
