World's top linguistic experts have finally cracked the code to the language of hippy-nese, popular among flower children of the 60s and made famous by Joe Cocker and other psychedelic minds of those times. Maybe you've seen film clips from Woodstock 1969........perhaps you were there. The song the experts focused on for translation was "A Little Help From My Friends" While spastically flapping his hands, arms, and head, Joe Cocker incoherently garbles how he gets HIGH with a little help from his friends........yes Joe.......we can tell. finally after 40 years of people wondering just what the hell Mr. Cocker was really talking about, top world scholars have translated the song and have released the film clip along with the translation which I present to you here: http://www.elwp.com/Joe%20Cocker.html have you ever done hallucinogenics??? was it with a little help from your friends???

I don't need any help from my friends ... I'm stark, raving, barking mad without any help from anybody. It's my default setting.

I haven't seen this before, I was born in 1974 and I love his song called You are so beautiful to me. I was a good girl and stayed away from any hallucinogenics of any kind. So I guess I missed out on alot of fun. I watched the clip and enjoyed it. It was hilarious.

8 kids! Whoo that's a champion effort right there! Personally I would've rounded up to 10, but that's just me.

This is nothing short of groovy man. Like, WOW! I spent about 10 hours thinking I was a God (Among other things) while out camping as a teenager many years ago on a massive sand island in North Queensland Australia. I can thank a couple of Austrian backpackers for this momentous occasion because they decided it would be a wonderful treat to put magic mushrooms in my breakfast fry-up! I started my day fully clothed and fighting fit and returned to the campsite in the early evening wearing only my underpants and sunburnt to kingdom come. Magnificent I was!

Well, that is 8 children biologically and then the 1 that is adopted and then since my mom was married 4 times there is the many step children...so it is closer to 20 kids...if the step kids are included. I was just never the wild child..have a few quirky moment every now and then..that about the extent of my wildness..

Like, cool man. lol. I had no idea that "hippie talk" was even it's own language. And I studied linguistics too! Maybe I never noticed because I don't really care for that particular song. Or it could be that I was born in 1976, so my favorite music is from the 80s and 90s. Now...if someone could just translate Nirvana we'd be all set. =)

One time, at band camp, we were hopped up on goofballs, and we went into this huge cave. Pitch blackness and 7 teenagers laughing hysterically.... Good times, good times...
