Media no longer the voice of the people.

With all flashy headlines and top hot breaking smashing kicking jumping news from around the globe that it brings of which lot many are worthless, do you think media is the voice of the people anymore? I believe the media has advanced quite a lot in the past decade and many a times it seems to be taking advantage of the less educative class or you can say the dumber class. It tries to manipulate a lot of situations, like try to portray a situation so badly that it worsens the situation and in other cases even the reputation and mental state of many individuals, where instead the voice of the country or the opinion of the country may not be the same as that of the media. And one more thing that is even more annoying is that the media is so damn defensive! This is one thing I so badly hate about it, media persons and the whole media fraternity considers itself as the lord of the world, they'll criticize anyone and everyone to extents beyond acceptable limits but if any single member of the media fraternity gets criticized in any manner, all hell breaks loose! They crucify that person or group to the point of burying the hard earned respect and reputation. And every time such individuals or groups go public, such incidents always make a scar on their faces and they have to justify every now and then. Do you think the media has over rated itself and is too bullish though it gets away very smoothly and diplomatically?
